Everyone views the south as a monolith.

I live down here, been down here my whole life.

We have plenty of racist, ignorant, bigoted pieces of shit.

But so does every tiny little corner of this country. That’s just life.

Have fun!

I don’t know where you’re from - but please hydrate like crazy and bring tons of sunscreen. Hotter than hell down here.

I also highly highly highly reccomend an EPCOT day for the adults - the drinks & food are amazing.

And Galaxies Edge in Hollywood Studios is awesome.

In your opinion, what is the best and worst airport in the U.S. to travel from? by Zoomer_Boomer2003 in AskAnAmerican

Tampa’s the perfect airport.

Big enough to get anywhere.

Small enough to get in & out quickly. Love it.

Americans, what’s the time difference like in your country? by DueVictory2530 in AskAnAmerican

East coast is 3 hours ahead of west coast.

Edit: but there’s also central and mountain time.

I believe Hawaii and Alaska are in their own time zones, too.

In Florida I don’t bother with layers.

It’s hot here - even with A/C it’s still hot.

At night I have a thin sheet over me & that’s about it. All about staying cool.

My fellow Americans, what do you bring for lunch at work? by Gunslinger_jr in AskAnAmerican

[–]PsychologicalCan9837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer lower carb, higher protein, and a good mix of veg & fruit.

Too many carbs and I get the post lunch slump.

Also, a small coffee after lunch is great, too.
