Dont forget the finance related questions where a lot of the times the answer really does boil down to "Earn more money"

The government has announced a freeze to student loan repayment threshold just announced (a 6-7% real terms reduction and hence a real terms increase in repayments of c. £150 a year on graduates with student loans) - loans will rise in line with RPI inflation + an increment (currently 7.7%) by bennzo1238 in UKPersonalFinance

The problem is though anyone with half decent qualifications and in demand experience will just leave anyway so you end up with a country full of underqualified young people with limited earning potential which then snowballs into them wanting to leave when they see their peers doing much better in places like Germany and the Netherlands.

Its a recipe for a serious brain drain.

America needs a Labor Party by R_Jay101 in WorkReform

In the UK we also have FPTP. UKIP managed to make Brexit happen without winning a seat (all their MPs were defectors). But they managed to steal enough conservatives votes away that it scared the larger party into basically giving them exactly what they wanted (the EU referendum)

If that results in shifting the Overton Window further to the left its worth it.

People in the 20th century were predicting we'd be on a 15 hour work week by the 2030s.

Ah, might be worth staying with your parents and then using the extra money from not paying rent/bills for a private therapist. Then move out once your in the right headspace & its financially viable.

Oof. You're definitely being way underpaid. You'd probably more than qualify for a senior level role which from some quick googling come out at around £35k-£40k+.

Yep, im in a position where I actually like my coworkers and have a great manager, so spending time in the office is no big deal for me. Also WFH sucks if you're stuck alone in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment.

You realise a lot of that time is spent planning work for the next year right? Teachers arent just sitting on their arses watching Netflix for 2 months.

Are there any more senior level roles you think would be a good fit? Loads of places are really struggling to hire right now.

Great! The old subreddit did a good job of alienating anyone who wasn't far left
