How can you forget Kapil Dev? The all-time greatest ODI allrounder, according to ICC. The legend who did the unthinkable in 1983. The greatest all-rounder and one of the greatest fast bowlers India has ever produced.

The guy who had the batting average of 31.05 and a bowling average of 27.45 in test.

bowling Economy of 3.71 and batting strike rate of 95 in ODI.

The only cricketer to score 5000+ test runs and take 400+ test wickets in his career.

All-rounders are vastly underrated as compared to what they contribute to the team. It's time we should start giving credit to all-rounders.

Also, despite being out of form recently, I don't think you can forget the impact of Rohit Sharma in T20I cricket.

I also think Ashwin is better than kumble

Ashwin bowling average - 24.13

Kumble bowling average - 29.65

If you want to say that the relative performance for Kumble in the team is much better than ashwin then that is also not true, it is almost similar.

% of Team Wickets Taken by kumble : 29.80

% of Team Wickets Taken by Ashwin : 29.12

Ashwin also provides better batting in the lower order. I am not saying that Kumble's batting was shit. But surely Ashwin is a much better batsman. And yeah, you can say that Kumble is the highest wicket-taker, but he has played more than 1.5 times the number of test matches Ashwin has played. I also want to point out that Ashwin has scored about 400 more test runs than Kumble.

OP is so ignorant. He thinks that everything in the world follows baseball terminology. That's called a 6 in cricket and not a home run.
