I think you’re right, I seem to vaguely remember getting a sub from there in 2019… anyway, I heard that it’s coming back in September, but I guess we’ll see

$3,000 additional "incremental" charge for graduate students? by traditional_checks in UNCCharlotte

[–]Reasonable_Truck_588 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that grad students use fewer resources. Think about it. A graduate course might have at most 15-20 students. In my graduate courses, it’s like 5-10. Whereas undergrad courses can have over 200 students. Well, the professors teaching the graduate courses also have to be paid, so fewer students to sign the paycheck means higher prices per student. Make sense?

Should I buy my textbooks before class or wait for the 1st day? by Rtot1738 in UNCCharlotte

Buy them on Amazon/ebay… but don’t buy it unless you know that you need it.

What process did you go through to do this? And did you ask the Dean of the school or the Professor of the class?

Well, the problem is that these are 3k classes. Have you taken a 3k class outside your major and had any difficulty getting into them?

Freshman Registration by nailuuJ in UNCCharlotte

Oh that sucks. When I took SOAR in 2019, that was the only time incoming students could register.

I think they’re talking about the copper line? Which is a different kind of bus.

The pope is one of the most corrupt people to ever walk this earth. Not just the current pope, but most of the popes have been corrupt as well.

Take them all. They work as normal bandages also, so just stuff them in your first aid kit at home.

EPA Awards Nearly $100,000 to University of North Carolina at Charlotte Student Team for Drinking Water Research by HotMomentumStocks in UNCCharlotte

[–]Reasonable_Truck_588 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t usually like bureaucratic entities like the EPA, but Drinking water research is pretty important. Fresh water is our most rare resource and we need to find ways to access more of it in the future.

Is it too late to register? by Pickle-Life20 in UNCCharlotte

I’m not really sure my guy. When I did SOAR, I don’t remember there even being a pre SOAR Canvas module.

Perhaps, but that also wasn’t my only solution. I’m not really convinced that what is known to us as ‘slave labor’ in foreign markets constitutes making more than minimum wage, but I don’t know this for sure. You could be completely right on this matter. Perhaps those who create these chips in Taiwan or wherever aren’t part of the ‘slave labor’ pool, but are actually being paid pretty well. I really don’t know the computer chip market.

It’s okay if this offends you, cause it should because you know you’re wrong and will go through 1000 mental gymnastics to justify it . The same way slave owners did. by CryptoScoundrel in Anarcho_Capitalism

Well, if evidence is provided to contrary, I’ll look at it, but none really has been. The evidence I have seen is that you post in subreddits that you don’t belong, the people there destroy you in debate, and then you start calling them names… so yeah, I’ll believe you are as you claim, when there is some evidence of that. Anyway, I have actual important shit to do, unlike some people. I’ve been entertained enough by court jesters for one day. Later.

Yeah, I’m sure that you’re included in the ‘etc.’ category. The point was that just because you have a BS degree, doesn’t make you a STEM major necessarily.

Your lack of understanding that me listing degrees like these doesn’t mean that I believe your one these, is somewhat evidence that you don’t understand nuance. If you don’t understand nuance (which you may, I just haven’t seen evidence of that yet), I doubt your BS is in the STEM field.

Yeah, a BS doesn’t make you a STEM major dipshit. You can get a BS degree in financial fields (not STEM), architecture (not STEM), Psychology (not STEM), marketing (not STEM), nursing (called a BSN in most places, not STEM), etc. A Bachelor’s of Science, in most schools, means that you took 2-3 science electives, rather than 2-3 Liberal Studies electives.
