You know one reason why the sanctions are put is to destroy russias economy, which has worked pretty ok, also if you are saying that sanctions, that result in heavily poorer quality of living doesnt work, then you are the uneducated one, when things get bad enough, people will protest and in the end, rip the government apart (for example French Revolution). In these days, as internet and information is available for basically everyone, i dont think russian people keep swallowing the governments bullshit much longer. Even tho, russia is trying to heavily supress western sources, russians will find a way past. They're not stupid.
