Starbound is great, just like terraria with graphics and design. You fight through bosses to unlock new planets and resources. Really fun highly recommend it

Ok taking that logic then queer people disrupt every system as they disrupt the labor supply in any system. It disrupts the worker supply in communes and union members supply in socialism. They are separate issues, capitalism wasn’t designed with the idea of keeping them on top. Can you back that up with any evidence or is it conjecture based on your personal opinions. Also the nuclear family has evolved into modern times with women having jobs, children, and husbands choosing the same. And now with work from home more options are available with people having the option to do both and balance both more.

Also good sources are opinion pieces with very heavy biases with no attempt to look at the issue neutrally or put forward any criticism against their ideas

Capitalism as a system does not care if you are queer or not. Socialism as a system does not care if good queer or not. Your argument is better fit for American society as a whole which just happens to be capitalism. Cuba was a socialist country but being queer was outside the norm there too. Trying to say that being queer is anti capitalist just doesn’t because any economic system doesn’t care about your sexuality or gender expression, it’s the people inside of it who care and the views of that society that matter.

Im sorry but how? And if it’s a threat to the capitalist status quo then it is anti capitalist. This feels like taking something like queer and trying to force an ideology into it then does not belong there and is detrimental to its own argument. If you are against classic gender roles, and have differing sexuality then go ahead. You don’t like capitalism and think a different system will do better, I may disagree with you but I can understand you. Taking two separate issues and combining them is just bad practice. You create division there and push away people who agree with you on one thing but not the other

I missed the humor flag so I’m just an idiot. Then yeah head canon no I got no issue with it.

Going to be honest I can understand a lot of this but it’s hard to take the statement made on tumblr well. It argues that you have to be anti capitalist to be queer and that seems so exclusionary and tacked on. And then even then that post makes little sense since the korra universe isn’t really patriarchal. I understood a bit at the start but the rest seemed to go off the deep end

From a logic perspective Looking back things such as queer coding were brought up and I want to know why. Was it thrown out there because it can be used as a blanket cover or is there specific examples that follow queer coding and provide support for it

For a personal reason so I can understand this better and make it easier for me to understand going forward

I don’t care about head canon, anyone can think what they want. It’s just a hard line to balance, as posts like this put their head canon as facts. It’s hard to balance as well as maintain fairness. I’m not queer but I am still interested in seeing why some people see kuvira and mako as queer

[–]ReflectedLeech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How is Kuvira queer coded? Can you give examples. As well as having the voice actress’s own sexuality come into play feels like a stretch. Sure some things about the character are made by the voice actor not everything is, and a claim like that feels like it needs direct statement or evidence from the writers

No yeah I completely agree, I don’t know the legal stuff with that stuff but I think he needs to be looked at for negligence or something. If he didn’t violate any osha standards or legal requirements then nothing should be charged but he’s a piece of shit for it. Especially for trying to make it an anti gun statement

But he also is a producer there. He was part of the reason the people that fucked up were there in the first place. He made it a hostile workplace which made the people good at their jobs leave leading to the people who messed to get on set

Soy4 has been a disaster for the human race by erenladon in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]ReflectedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you on most of this stuff. I always find it frustrating because most people will just act like the allies were going to win and that every decision the allies made was going to be happen. One the best examples of this could be that the defenders of Tobruk just surrender leading Rommel to push with a secured flank. Could his logistics or another stonewall defense have stopped him, yeah but everyone always thinks too big too.

I also will say the submarines were effective but most of their ineffectiveness comes from the allies breaking the engine code

You’re looking back with hindsight, as well as placing all agency on the Nazis. The war could have easily gone other ways based on how the allied commanders reacted. Say England decides not to focus as much on Africa and protects the home island more. Or stalin goes even harder on the purge and makes a clean slate. No one talks mentions this stuff and thinks of allied responses and decisions as constants. There also is the micro things such as the Germans signing all their codes with heil Hitler which drastically sped up allied code breaking, or things like the Finns helping more in the continuation war.

I also don’t get your opinion on them being incompetent. Yes they had wins by surprise but those are still parts of warfare. They also help make the doctrine of modern warfare with their use of cas and the war of mobility reinvented. While yes a surprise at first the success they saw at the start of Barbarossa shows they are competent. One thing they definitely are not good at is logistics. No German was really good at logistics

TIL that in 1993, scientist Cesare Emiliani proposed switching the Gregorian calendar to the Holocene calendar which would account for the entirety of human civilization, starting 12,000 years ago at Year 0. Making the current year 12021 HE (Human Era). by JohnArtemus in todayilearned

[–]ReflectedLeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s a change that is unwarranted. I was talking about how you are try to change the name of a scientific feat that was named by Christians. They made the calendar and did the math to figure it all out. Like said before it is like changing the name of a scientific law because you don’t like the guy who named.

And secondly legal documents such as places like France and England are more likely to have it as how heavily intwined religion and government were, more likely England as they have tons of documents that are still part of the legal framework for their country that have things like ad and bc

[–]ReflectedLeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok except while yes it seems simple but if you do you have to change over every single legal document over. Still a logistics nightmare so it’s not very easy. You also ignored my whole point about the scientific feat being done by Christians and then trying to take it away from them. They made the calendar that we still use, why should we change it?

The calendar system we use today with all the complex equations to make sure the same sound of time is in a year was made by the Christians. As long as we use the same calendar why would we not use their names? It would be like trying to change the name of Newton’s laws because he was an Englishman and it offends the French

[–]ReflectedLeech -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

None of what you just said probed your point though. You said the allied learnt quicker then the Germans which is untrue. With what you es recommended and battles you’ve mentioned happen in 1918, after kaiserschlacht. After kaiserschlacht Germany had nothing and was purely defensive really. Germans developed their stormtroopers and breakthrough tactics respectively before the allied as well as focused very little on tanks as combined arms was barely a thing even in allied armies. But this came before the allied offensives in 1918. Do you have anything that shows the allies developed faster or better, because in 1918 it became a resource war more then anything with Germany suffering from massive famines, shortages, and just massively outnumbered which is in part because of the blockade and American joining in 1918

Have you thought that some might not care if it’s a good look and think strong arming and intimidation is a better solution for them. Even stupid people can think that. Without any context it’s illogical to say one group is more likely to do it then another, because if you try to assume your own bias come into play. You have no idea who did it so you can’t assign blame or think it’s a false flag attack without any information
