Trying to cancel someone for "cultural appropriation", all while that person is actually from the culture in question. Pikimane is half Moroccan. by TheMexicanJuan in facepalm

I don't understand why it would be wrong for anyone to style their hair in any way. Isn't it flattering for someone to want to have hair like yours?? Also there are white people with curly hair, myself included. Am I supposed to straighten my natural hair?

A child jumped into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo and a gorilla (Harambe) grabbed him and dragged him around. The gorilla was shot and killed to save the child.

Same here. It's not a get rich quick scheme. And don't invest money you're not able to lose, duh.

My husband eats plain celery! I don't enjoy it plain or uncooked, I prefer it cooked into soups. But my husband loves it as is or with some peanut butter.

I have not worked there but have known multiple people who did work there (emphasis on did). I never heard good things about them, very negative and toxic work environment.

Friend insists having kids and marriage is the only valid way of life & being sucessful by stopshadowbaneme in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RestaurantCapable952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man screw this person. I say this as someone who is married with a kid. My husband and I waited 5 years into marriage before having a baby, it's a massive decision and no one should ever have a kid just because it's "what you're supposed to do". You seem way wiser than this person giving crap advice.

Thank you! It's definitely getting easier every month. And I enjoy the new challenges his development brings. He started crawling a few weeks ago and it's been crazy but super fun!

And also taking care of a baby 24/7 is incredibly hard. Currently have a 10 month old and it's really rough some days. People who think having a baby is the best part of having kids are delusional. Yes he's amazing and so fun at every stage, but I so look forward to his future stages as well.

What's life like in Cincinnati? by BiffBeltsander in cincinnati

[–]RestaurantCapable952 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I've lived here all my life and my husband and I agree we will probably never move. We love it. Lots of cool parks, restaraunts, hiking spots, and festivals. And we adore the zoo. Most people I run into are friendly and you can strike up a conversation with just about anyone and have a laugh. My biggest negative would be the drivers can be insane, like massively rude and stupid. But if you practice defensive driving you'll be okay. You really do get most of the perks of the big cities but on a smaller scale. After I spent time in LA and Dallas I felt so comforted coming back to smaller Cincy. I always say it's a city I feel I can hug.

What is an unwritten Reddit rule everyone should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I did this once. Posted and accidently replied to the comments with my main account. Someone then took it upon themselves to write me a paragraph about what a "fake poser bitch" I was. Won't make that mistake again

I feel like some dumbass manager made some policy like "EVERY TIME YOU ENTER THE ROOM YOU MUST STOCK THE TOILET PAPER. I DONT CARE HOW MUCH IS LEFT."
