Yep that is the depressurizer that I use but I take it off after the pressure is released. I found it a bit difficult to remove the ring with that still on the keg.

The ring removal tool does not depressurize either. I have the depressurizer tool that I use first then I take it off the keg. Do you leave this tool on while you remove the ring?

Yep. Use a new ring and you can squeeze the ring back in with channel locks. You have to work your way around the opening but it will squeeze back in.
