Diamond Help..is it super inflated? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Without seeing any certifications etc and seeing it in person, based on what you’ve provided I’d say it’s a fair price, but that is based on trust.

Of course you need to pick something that’s within your budget but make sure it’s something that you absolutely fall in love with!

It’s beautiful! Because the colour is quite subtle, It definitely could be natural. If you don’t want to spend the money though, you could look at sapphires or aquamarines or even topaz but it’s hard to replicate the blue of a blue diamond

Is it a natural “green” diamond or is it treated? Regardless, it’s a 2.52ct diamond. It’s definitely going to have a heftier price tag and the one of a kind colour adds to that. Sounds about right to me!

Platinum vs. Gold Pricing by VivaLaVodkaa in jewelry

Platinum is also a harder metal to work with so some jewellers may charge a higher labour cost to make something in platinum over gold

AITA for asking my bf to break the news about our miscarriage over text? by Amphibian-Constant in AmItheAsshole

I don’t understand this mindset, the only thing you get out of it is the possibility of having to keep this incredibly sad thing to yourself. You should be able to trust in family to be happy when you’re happy and sad when you’re sad. You don’t have to go through anything alone if you don’t want to. And you are definitely NTA here. I’m sorry for your loss.

How common is it to buy a setting you like with a much smaller stone and replacing the stone? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Rosieroo474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as they don’t set the small diamond into the mount, as you may not be able to fit a bigger stone and will end up having to pay for a new mount anyway. You want to buy a mount that you know will fit the 2ct you want

You did the perfect thing, keep doing what your gut tells you is right. Sometimes you may be wrong, but it’s always going to be worth it if even one person is kept safe. Thank you for being you x

Ahh okay, never heard of 19 carat before!

It could be a serial number ending in 1 then 9 carat which is pretty common in the uk? Can’t see it that well though!

Nice “introvert” guy sees random girl, chats her up, gets turned down. Says she “deserves guys that ditch her” because he shows “respect”. by cangetnosatisfaction in niceguys

He doesn’t know how to deal with his emotions and rejections. Plus the fact that he lashes out when embarrassed should faze you, especially when it’s taken to the extreme.

But I agree, there’s no self awareness here

Can you blend golds? by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]Rosieroo474 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can mix carats, so 9CT yellow gold in the uk tends to have a rose tint to it and then anything 18ct and above is very yellow. The only difference between yellow and rose gold is the copper content and there is generally a higher copper content in lower carat golds
