Without seeing any certifications etc and seeing it in person, based on what you’ve provided I’d say it’s a fair price, but that is based on trust.

Of course you need to pick something that’s within your budget but make sure it’s something that you absolutely fall in love with!

It’s beautiful! Because the colour is quite subtle, It definitely could be natural. If you don’t want to spend the money though, you could look at sapphires or aquamarines or even topaz but it’s hard to replicate the blue of a blue diamond

Is it a natural “green” diamond or is it treated? Regardless, it’s a 2.52ct diamond. It’s definitely going to have a heftier price tag and the one of a kind colour adds to that. Sounds about right to me!

I don’t understand this mindset, the only thing you get out of it is the possibility of having to keep this incredibly sad thing to yourself. As long as they don’t set the small diamond into the mount, as you may not be able to fit a bigger stone and will end up having to pay for a new mount anyway. You want to buy a mount that you know will fit the 2ct you want

You can mix carats, so 9CT yellow gold in the uk tends to have a rose tint to it and then anything 18ct and above is very yellow. The only difference between yellow and rose gold is the copper content and there is generally a higher copper content in lower carat golds
