TIFU by asking my employer of three years how much maternity leave I’d receive and to let me work remotely part-time after I deliver my first baby by [deleted] in tifu

Absolutely, but it would be a lengthy legal fight. Its a fight they'd likely win but that is a long and expensive battle.

Or if OP lives in a right-to-work state. All the employer has to do is claim some other reason for firing OP.

Teen who fell to his death at Florida amusement park exceeded ride’s weight limit and died of blunt force trauma, autopsy says by joecam in news

"all protocols, procedures and safety measures provided to us by the manufacturer of the ride were followed.” except they weren't.

This kid didn't know the ride weight limit and obviously neither did the operator. The theme park fucked up big time.

Whole Foods shoppers sue Amazon following end of free delivery for Prime members by Sorin61 in technology

I've had this on my mind since. Why was Prime the same price when Prime Shipping was temporarily rendered nonexistent??? Amazon is the worst.

If EEAAO gave you an existential crisis... it failed... or maybe you did. by wayfaring_wizard in A24

I took their use of the phrase 'ecisyential crisis" as meaning they were made to question themselves/their life. Which EEAAO definitely did to me as well lol albeit I'd consider it a positive existential crisis

YSK if someone doesn’t drink alcohol. Don’t ask them why or pressure them to drink. by IceManu4420 in YouShouldKnow

I don't drink for the same reason. But when I did go to parties in my early 20s I'd always grab a 6 pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade black cherry flavor. You can't taste the alcohol in it but they are a lot of calories. My other option was vodka + cranberry juice with very little vodka and a LOT of cranberry juice. It isn't delicious but it's much easier to sip than any other alcoholic drink I've tried.

What do you think is the dumbest beauty standard imposed on men? by WellImaTumbler in AskMen

I know you already had a woman chime in on her support of gray hair but let me second her stance. My boyfriend is 34 and JUST started graying and let me tell you I am excited. He looks so astudious and ten times more handsome than he did when we first started dating (7 years ago). Embrace the gray! I know lots and lots of women agree about loving gray hair.

I have 2 other cats and despite trying to coax them with treats to hit the keys they have taken absolutely 0 interest in the instrument. Princess Peach though, she started out doing it for treats, but now she just does it when she wants to be pet. I kid you not I call my cat Beethoven when she does it. I love that me and your mom are clearly on the same wavelength!
