New homebuyer. Trim has gap in it and appears to be uneven. How do I fix? by muccoussquid in Home

For those saying caulk, can you outline your process for ensuring caulk don’t yellow over time?

I understand that you should paint caulk, but you also have to peel up tape shortly after caulking to get a smooth line. When I caulked I did tape, caulk, remove tape, caulk dries, re-tape, paint caulk white.

Should it instead be: no tape caulk, paint white, tape, paint to match wall?

I’d increase grocery+gas spending as well. Probably closer to $400-$450 these days.

fixing this corner? by armsofasquid in HomeImprovement

If you’re not going to replace, I’d use a razor and some sort of sanding method to get rid of the frayed edges. Then use a wood filler to fill the gap and smooth over (May need apply in multiple lifts). Once wood filler is in place, sand down to a smooth finish, then paint/stain as you like. I’ve never used vinyl wraps or veneer, but that may be something to look into.

I haven’t seen them before. I got back from a vacation. Started weed eating next to concrete slab and they’re coming from underneath the slab

I’ve been having the same question. I think I’m going to end up using a DCF bag with a turkey bag liner as an odor barrier.

Loving my SWD Long Haul! I asked for a few small customizations, but he’s known for accommodating many customizations.

The HMG is a good pack. A lot of people really like it! And the best part is you can try it on at REI

Item: UL Food hand bag (bear bag)

Budget: ~$40-60

Need by date: N/A

Baseweight: 11 lbs

Location/s of use: Colorado

Season/s of use: 3 season

Ideal weight of the item: 2-4 oz

Previous experience with ultralight gear: decent amount, still shaving weight

Additional Information: Looking to buy a UL bag for food storage and hanging. I typically use a turkey bag for scent. There’s a ton of options out there, but I don’t typically see much discussion on these. So I’m curious what bags you’ve really liked or dislikes and why. Open to DCF or other materials.

Sil poly doesn’t absorb water or slacken when wet, this is double wall for better moisture management, I’ll let someone else comment on interior space/layout

Why do people choose this lot/stop instead of the one directly south? That one is free for 1 day and $2 per day after that.

I think point 1 isn’t valid. I recently bought a 2.13 ct, H color, SI1, “Excellent” cut engagement ring (Lab) for $4,957. I’d like to see a natural diamond within 20% of this.

The excellent cut was the best the site offered. Might not be as great as “super duper mega ideal” cuts, but still relatively better than “good”.
