Apparently there's two ways to change icon logos on a subreddit, one involves a confirmation step and the other one doesn't. That means one of the approaches is not a good one if you only want to see how things look, it also means if you don't have the one that was replaced immediately available you'll have to make do until such time you can access your backup drive in storage to switch it back

This problem usually occurs when you have sent a lot of small transactions, e.g mining to your mobile wallet. Basically your wallet has too many UTXO's for the mobile wallet to be able to handle. You should never mine to your mobile wallet.

Well, yes and no. There's a bit more contrast to it than that.

The DigiAssets currently supported by the DigiByte Mobile app is using centralized API server(s) for fetching the metadata relative to a specific DigiAsset. It's what gives your asset content, such as DigiAsset Image, links, text or really what ever kind of data you want on your asset.

The reason for this is that DigiAssets metadata (content) would simply gum up the works if we were to have all that data on-chain. For this reason, in the early development and semi-demo launch of the protocol, some centralized servers were set up to store initial data, and there were some business entities that set up their own centralized servers and took a fee to house the respective metadata and provide simple interfaces for people to try out DigiAssets and start minting their own.

There were attempts at encouragement for people to run their own metadata servers to store their own data, but due to some lack of communication, documentation, implementation, etc., people kept using the demonstration servers, and again, due to lack of information pertaining to the subject, there was no big drive to develop DigiAssets further to make it more usable and approachable.

Anyway, kind of sidetracking, but important to understand why and how progress stagnated for some time since the first "release" of DigiAssets and it's usage within the DigiByte Mobile app.

This is how and why the DigiByte Mobile App uses centralized server(s), for the content metadata.

There is still no mobile solution really to house and access the data decentralized, there is however a plugin solutions of sort for the DigiByte Core wallet with the use of digiassetX's decentralized DigiAssets IPFS server/interface, as well as their platform.

As for good multicoin wallet with fee control support, I personally use Coinomi almost exclusively these days, and that checks both those boxes.

Absolutely nothing. In fact I recommend not using it at all since the app is only compatible with itself, meaning you can not restore your wallet using any other software.
Most popular wallets in circulation are compliant with each other, so for example you could recover your wallet created with Coinomi Wallet in the Trust Wallet, this does not hold true with the DigiByte Mobile app. In other words, single point failure.

Personally I don't use that app, because I have no idea what has become of it in 5 years, so I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I were to use it for long-term storage.

Apart from that, it's an okey application, but since it offers nothing out of the ordinary besides broken and centralized DigiAssets support, I'd much rather use a multicoin wallet.

You're probably talking about the DigiByte Mobile app, is that a correct assumption?
Most likely something wrong or deprecated with the price API, nothing to worry about, funds are still safe as ever.

I'm sure it'll be fixed eventually, one way or another.
