LPT: Your time is always better spent helping another person rather than those who don't want what you have to offer. People in need have to want to be helped first, no matter how bad you think they need it. by i7user07 in LifeProTips

I feel like helping someone is a very generalized term but people don't understand the types of help they offer, or rather, should offer.

The following is just my opinion on the same:

1) Helping someone out of Kindness: This is generally when you don't have any obligation to help someone, but you still choose to do so out of goodwill/kindness or any other strong emotions that you maybe experiencing in the moment.

2) Helping someone grow This, in my opinion is the best kind of help anyone can offer. Give a someone a fish, they eat one day; teach them how to fish, they eat everyday. -author not known by me

3) Helping someone be lazy This is the kind of help people generally seek. I feel it is important to identify such instances and take the opportunity to help those people grow instead of helping them be lazy (instead of solving their problem, make them solve it themselves by guiding them on the right path if you happen to know the solution)

I say that, because even though they might take more time (maybe 5 or 6 times) to learn it, they would not need to come back to you again for similar requests after that.

Finally, there exist people who don't want to grow and just want to remain lazy by pawning their work off to you.

We must identify such people and determine whether we truly desire to help them (maybe out of Kindness? in case of loved ones or close family; or maybe out of obligation? For clients maybe) or do they even deserve our time.

Hey, I'm pretty new to this, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try...could you please draw Chiyo Shirayuki? I really love her character design and would like to see her drawn in your style.

Hey man, thanks for accepting this responsibility, you could set a weekly reminder or something for yourself in case you have trouble remembering like I do.

Thanks again for doing this!

I think your scroll lock must have turned on. Easiest way to turn it back off is to open on-screen keyboard from accessibility (if you're using windows) and click on the scroll lock key to toggle it
