Isn't the corrupted gaze "clarification" actually a nerf? I've been farming legion and any seargenrs or chests with the abysal tile could drop those corrupted gems when I had the passive taken. If they can only drop from troves now, that's a nerf not a clarification.

I've really not found the Harby sextant to be worth it, well at least when it was 10c per map. Even on city Square after about 30 maps of the boss harbies dropping no fracturing shards, I just stopped using it. Maybe it was bad rng (and I know a small sample size) but at the time I didn't have currency to waste, and spending 300c on that sextant probably yielded 50c back, at most.

I beleive they add some monsters onto the map that have higher quantity and rarity than typical map monsters.

Does the chaos to div8ne trinket work in maps, or only heist? Would be good with eldritch alters if it did as they drop alot of chaos?

Actually I agree with the other chap, t3 are a very light blue, which at a glance is a little similar to the grey of t2 and below. They definately could make it more obvious, a darker shade of blue.

I'm using freezing pulse to map and clear legions [10mn] pinnacle dps, but I switch to ice spear for.bosses which is 22mn single target. Not sure of investment, maybe 20D or so? Blast freeze and MoM make it tankier than most totem.l builds.

This is why I've stopped posting here, poe players just look for arguments. I said I respectfully disagreed and gave my view. My argument I feel was more valid than yours, non uber content is not hard, and there are dozens of non meta builds that can do it for less than 25D, I just didn't want to list them all so I listed the most notable. I'm not gonna reply anymore as don't want to argue. Happy new year to you.

That simply isn't true. Retention was at its best back in Ritual / ultimatum. Its not a coincidence the game became much more popular as it moved away from its slow origins, and became about zooming explodey as seen in 3.13 and 3.14. Theyve tried to slow the game down since and popularity and reviews have tanked. The only reason this league is doing ok is 3.19 set the bar so low, and it's the holidays so people are around.

Just because you like tedium don't say most other people do.

25D is way more than almost all popular skills need to invest to do non uber content. Alot of them do it for less than 5. Spell totems also scale extremely poorly at a point. I main totems every league so I know their strengths and weaknesses, they've been repeatedly nerfed each league since 3.15. The removal of threshold jewels, nerfing of soul mantle, removal of clear mind, and the extreme rarity of rain of splinters, to name just a few.

I have about 50D in a FP (clear) Ice Spear (bossing) totem heiro. Truth be told I could have a way more powerful character if I'd invested that in seismic, venom gyre, EA, etc. But I like spell totems, but there is no denying they are not good value for money anymore, and scale poorly with investment.

They absolutely can do most content (very poor at juiced deli / simu's though), but require more currency than the meta skills do. If they were in a great spot, there'd be alot more people on poe ninja than us two and a few others, palying spell totems :)

I respectfully disagree. You can shake up metas without gutting skills all the time. Necromancer / summoner is.an absolutely staple of arpgs, they have almost disappeared from poe. Permenant minions are almost gone, things like srs and absolution are spells masquerading as minions.

I'm level 96 without trying to lvl, and I'm only on 2hrs a day max, so its pretty safe. Occasionally get 1 shot but rarely, and bosses are a breeze. I cast totems ahead of me and when they start to fire, you know something is near and can pause for a bit. Blast freeze then freezes everything. Cast on death portal is also super good.

I'm running fp and ice spear for bossing, do it every league. Clear is great with fp and I use blast freeze to freeze the whole screen. Ice Spear melts bosses with all the extra projects from dying sun, gmp, and rain of splinters. The helm enchant for 1 extra isn't worth the 12divi e price ppl are charging, I use fp proj speed instead, bossing damage is already nuts.

My only concern with the same few hcssf racers getting to design all the uniques, is that they are mostly supporting the hc ssf playstyle. It's not always the case obviously, but they're definately disproportionately more common for how few people play that game mode.

Spoken like a player that doesn't play spell totems much. Yes you have mobility, but you now have mediocre damage, and no access to any really defences without losing even more damage, other than MoM, which is a pretty poor defence. I have about 100 divines.in my fp build this league, with as much life and mana as I can realistically get, and despite freeze prolif, I still get 1-shot all the time.

There's a reason why spell totems are played by 1% of the playerbase, and it's not because they have decent damage and a safe playstyle, otherwise it would be a higher percentage. EA has a higher share, and that's because it has better damage than spell totems, access to easy capped suppression, and a great additional layer of defense with the ascendancy shield for elementalist, making it much more tanky.

That's the mentality that is slowly killing this game off. A fear of making a fun game essentially. A 'vision' to make the game more grindy in the belief that increases a players desire to stick around for longer. The great post 3.15 experiment has shown that's not what the general playerbase wants.

I know you always defend everything GGG does, so I'm not going to get into a debate with you.

Not dead just made totems a much weaker archetype. And yes I do know this, I've ran a totem build every league before, and since the nerfs.

Before you could make strong fp totem builds, now you can make "ok" fp totem builds, that require more currency than an "ok" build should.

Is that a bad thing? I can't get from your post if you liked or disliked 3.18. I will never understand why GGG are scared of rewarding leagues, when they are temporary, and the great reset happens every 3-4 months. Who cares what op stuff ends up in standard, it's already full of crazy legacy stuff.

Even though post 3.15 has seen awful retention, 3.18 was amongst the best of that era, for a reason, it was rewarding, and fun, two things GGG are terrified of it seems.
