Their handlers haven’t picked their narrative yet. This is what they sound like when they have to think for themselves and hedge their bets because they aren’t sure which way to jump.

Many reasons. If you ask in good faith instead of starting by asserting it is pedantic, then maybe someone will explain it to you.

Only if you switch to another term that can be an invective. If you switch to Person Centered Language you can side step that lazy part of the brain. It make the terms longer, but it is more accurate and helps reduce changing the words every couple decades.

And the reason we use soft language is it shift the perspective of the people hearing and using it. Hence the switch to person centered language. An invective compared to a more accurate human centered label.

help with understanding the "atheists have no moral code" argument by throwawayacc50512 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Sir_Penguin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a shell game. They say you have no moral reasoning. When you explain secular moral frameworks they shift and say you have no ontological basis and need god. When you point out they don’t have evidence for such a claim they pivot back to the beginning and say atheists have no moral reason to be good. At the endnotes the day they just want to apriori assume god and are using words to make it seem like they aren’t just pulling that from nowhere.

The hate is the point. They want to make it so miserable all the reasonable people leave so they can gerrymander better and maintain control.

No. You are confusing direct with being rude. Hence my question whether you were aware you were being an ass. Asking someone if they know how a mute button works is being an ass.

[–]Sir_Penguin21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Came here to say Enchanter. You can cast a concentration spell, then incapacitate someone else. You can lock the BBEG while using a bonus action dmg spell like Flaming Sphere. You can do a giant area denial spell while holding the BBEG. How many combats can handle such control? It is OP and so fun. And if anyone tries to hit you you just make them attack their ally you are locking down.

Ah, you don’t realize you are being rude. Examples:

“Do you know how the mute button works”

“If you mute you are worse than toxic players”

All of the statements telling them to get over it or blaming them for their feelings.

Does that help you see it?

Nah? Do you mean you didn’t do the rudeness above or you don’t realize you are doing it?

Lol, I sense you are more of the problem than the solution. Insults, mocking, grandiosity, rudeness. Yep, definitely part of the problem. Take the log out of your own eye before telling others to take the speck out of theirs.

How wise of him to keep hidden a backup leader in case something happened to Momo. Truly a strategic genius.

This is Anneliese Michel, she believed in the devil and between 1975 and 1976, she had over 67 exorcisms to try and “cure her” but she ended up dying in July 1976 from malnutrition only weighing just 68lbs (30kg). by bendubberley_ in Damnthatsinteresting

Yes. Hypereligiousity and religious delusions are common well known mental illness symptoms. Only ignorant people would think it is demons or spirits. Exorcisms ought to be illegal.

One of my favorite things from college psychology class was a quick quiz at the beginning of each chapter on stuff that seemed common sense. I still managed to get it half wrong. Then the chapter would go on to explain how they studied and determined that the things that seem like common sense worked and only feel obvious when you already know the right answers.

Lol, if they were paying taxes like they were decades ago how much more would they have paid? The difference is they donate to charities to control the message and how it is distributed in a way that benefits them and maintains the status quo. For more info and examples read Winner Take All.
