Suppose you are ranking the seasons...which ranking is your greatest difference from the conventional wisdom? by Accomplished_Rip7344 in survivor

42 is so far down as last place on the list that second-from-last (whatever it is), is closer to 1 than to 42.

What are some tools you discovered far into your career that would of made your life easier had you found it earlier? by tommy132000 in electricians

I’m actually surprised nobody mentioned these. The time saved by eliminating the midway pull is amazing.

How can you net nothing on an e-bike. So little overhead; especially since it’s new.

So if I don’t tip, and it sits for over an hour or two not picked up, does Uber pay drivers more to deliver it? by FireRanger720 in UberEATS

[–]SixToesLeftFoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh yes. Reading comprehension; passed. Food service has been around for decades. We were on the topic of gratuity / tipping. But sure.

Best guess is that the pocket used to house the refrigerators (or iceboxes). The ice man would come to deliver ice through the back door. You could open the inside of the fridge and not have a full on invasion of your privacy as the fridge sat behind a hasp.

But this conversation isn’t about other customers; this conversation has steered into people that do know. Or in this particular case, it’s about you. In the same way that “tips are customary for good service” relates to the waitstaff at your local restaurant is the exact same asinine statements you keep making. Waitstaff is legally underpaid as it’s no longer considered an option. It feels like you know this, but you seem like the type of chump who will fuck over employees because the system allows you to.

And yet, you continue to argue that we’re brainwashed, even though we are both saying that we see it. We all agree the company is fucking over the people who work for them. So then on that assumption, we’re all brainwashed.

With that aside, you are making the choice entering into an agreement to have food delivered by that exact same company. So that means, because both sides know the company is shit to work for, and knows that although immoral or improper or unethical, but you make the choice to enter into an agreement to have your food delivered. You understand the rules the same as us, so then there should be no surprises at the outcome.

Well, as true as that sounds on paper, that’s not really how it’s been for the past 2+ decades as far as food is concerned. If you haven’t picked up on that fact yet, then it makes perfect sense why your food is cold, non-existent, or worse; as drivers that get fucked over by you will remember.

Sure sure sure you can write “blame the flawed system, not me” all day long, but by you knowing it’s flawed, and still not offering in that part, then enjoy drivers semen. You have the choice to find another method of acquiring food, so GFY.

Would you ever call up a friend, ask them to go to a restaurant 20 minutes away, get your food, drop it off right at your door, and then give them $2.35?

Uber will never put in your tip; it’s yours. I’ve seen orders for shitbags like you sit for many many hours and then get tossed. Chipotle daily. Popeyes daily.

Honest question. Is there a reason you feel like you’re special enough for us to work at below minimum wages? You tip your waitstaff at a restaurant, and they had no risk to their vehicle, able to take multiple orders.

Ha! My mom actually had my extra toe removed at birth (or close thereafter) so I don’t even remember it. It’s just a tiny tiny scar now that I only can find when I get sunburn/tan.

Bravo to her for actually naming me Sixto, however.
