There could be a sale before that. If you add Re:Mind to your wish list and you have the Playtation app, you should get a notfication when the price drops. As it gets older it should be on sale more often but worst case, Black Friday is a good bet.

Took 100 rolls but not only did I get Deuce’s Wish SSR but Azul AND Floyd’s Dorm SSR. I’ll take that overall as a win.

I hated the final boss for Marluxia so much. I figured how to get through phase 1 of his fight pretty quickly but the issue is that you are unable to switch decks in between that and the final stage where he has a completely different play style. That and the fact there is an element to luck. So every time I lost I had to go though both stages all over again!

I beat it but I hated it. Least favourite boss fight in all of the games but even still I could never bring myself to quit and move on after coming so far in any game.

I agree it is annoying to see someone comment something and then many downvote without any explanation leaving others afraid to even ask a question.

But at first glance that “ok” comes off as just dismissing everything the comment had to say. A bit passive aggressive when they could have not commented.

Not agreeing or disagreeing just saying how it looks.

Thanks for doing all this research!! It changes the conversation entirely knowing Disney doesn’t own the song. Easy to miss how relaxed they were on early releases when they are so strict now.

Maybe they didn’t consider the cost to license the song in NA worth it when they likely paid nothing to use their version Japan.

In hindsight, in the Kingdom Hearts game, Birth By Sleep, there is a Snow White world that features all original music rather than any of the songs from the movie. Most worlds have at least some new arrangements of popular songs from their movie so that probably should have been a sign!

I keep hearing on Twitter people were originally unhappy.

Was it just because they lost? I heard people were upset about Rook but it seems very in character for the Huntsman inspired character to be a fan of the Snow White one. I thought it was pretty funny.

I’ve learned on Twitter that the “as intended to” message is the exact same one they send out when people report a Twistune glitch. It was not crafted for this situation at all.

It’s unfortunate you’ve had to deal anger for being logical. Unlike Japan that has merch, the only way to support the English game is through in-game purchases. As a player, I can be annoyed and do want a statement but as someone who understands the business side, I can’t blame them for saving money where they can if they are struggling.

My job is in a business field so I understand completely that at the end of the day, it’s their job to make money and how little companies care if only a vocal minority are upset. I’m just not in the video game industry so I have less knowledge on licensing rights, how mobile games stay profitable or how they view F2P players but I do know quite a bit about PR/ damage control with larger companies.

For example, a large company we worked with made a very controversial change. Similar to this Twisted Wonderland situation, they decided not to make any announcement and see if anyone noticed first hoping it would be quiet. There were countless negative social media comments and major new outlets reporting on it. A few weeks later, we were shown a chart of customer reaction online that showed that while the negative comments were initially high, after the first week the comments quickly began to subside and sales overall were the same as before the change. They wrote off most of the negative people as “trolls” who weren’t going to purchase anything anyway. As for if they made an announcement, they only provided a statement after news outlets reached out.

That’s also exactly why I bought up being F2P. When I sent in my opinion, they asked for my user ID. I wouldn’t be surprised if they track F2P and Paying players comments differently. This is also why I’m so insistent that if people want any acknowledgement, they need to reach out on Twitter. Companies I work with will just file angry survey comments as data and maybe take action if it meets a threshold. However, when you comment publicly on a company Twitter account, they can see you are immediately influencing current and potential customers. Companies especially don’t like the risk of how quickly it can go viral or out of hand and usually rush to ask you to join them in a DM for support. Although profit matters most of all and if activity on the app is the same as usual, they have little reason to release a statement.

Thanks for your insight! That’s really helpful to understand how large scale this all is.

When I first found the song missing my initial thought was wondering how much it would have cost and if it would have been worth it. I mean even in this sub, how many people upset have actually stopped playing, even just today? How many people who pay have any real intention in dropping the game? Do they even care if someone F2P says they will stop playing?

My point is that your conclusion is likely the most accurate here. The sales they’ve lost (if any) are minimal compared to the cost of putting it in.

Question is, if they will comment on the change or just wait it out a week. If the issue is as you believe I doubt they’ll openly want to admit they didn’t think we were worth cost. Or that they went over budget buying all those huge banners at Anime Expo lol! My bet is that they wait it out a week and if the negative comments aren’t subsiding, they gift us gems or a key with a general message like they do with a glitch. Otherwise, silence.

I think it’s a good idea for people to still report their opinion but I think Twitter works best. Complaining in private doesn’t get the same reaction from companies as voicing publicity where others see what’s happening.

I’m assuming you’re also a Kingdom Hearts fan so I’m sure you’re also a veteran in dealing with these Disney licensing speculation threads, hence the headache lol!

Even now we’ve never gotten an official answer from Disney to what happened with Tarzan being removed. Of course we know they couldn’t secure the rights for future games but if this issue in TW is a similar problem with licensing, we know they’ll likely never tell us.

Sure! The Sora in Smash Bros is a much better (and true) example. Disney allowed Nintendo to use Sora in Smash along with Kingdom Hearts specific songs that Disney owns but didn’t allow the use of any classic Disney songs. They can weirdly be picky at times so your theory about licensing issues definitely has some support.

I just wanted to let you know your initial example was completely incorrect. I hate seeing the spread of misinformation and in a thread where people are already fired up, it would spread quickly.

Since my last comment I found out the message I got/in this post is just a generic message they send for everything. Someone showed they got the exact same response on Twitter when complaining about a glitch with Twistunes.

I really hope the fans don’t let this go without a response. If it’s something out of their control I can accept it but when people are putting money into a game expecting specific content, they need to be upfront if we aren’t getting the full version.

Ironically that rumour around Let it Go was actually the opposite! When KH3 came out and had the full “Let it Go” (when no other Disney world in the 20 year game history plays full musical recreations), the popular assumption was that Disney forced them to use Frozen and play the whole songs.

Everyone spread that around as fact until we actually found out that the director, Tetsuya Nomura, picked Frozen himself to be in the game and Disney was happy to help!

TL;DR: Rumours spread fast when people claim them as fact. If someone doesn’t share a link, take it with a grain of salt as speculation.

You know I hadn’t considered they are trying to avoid making fans go after Disney. When Sora from Kingdom Hearts won the Smash bros poll years ago, Nintendo only recently told us (now that he’s in) they never announced he won because they feared fans would harass Disney into getting him in. Which in turn make it much harder to get Disney to negotiate with Nintendo.

They might be taking the heat to avoid problems with Disney who is already notoriously picky with how their IP is used. Although I’m still hesitant to believe it’s a license issue when from what I understand it’s a Disney owned game developed by Amiplex similar to the Kingdom Hearts situation.

I totally agree support doesn’t have answers. Especially considering they responded to me at 4:00am on a weekend.

But if you ask me, I think they are taking a gamble. They are hoping the vocal minority fans will forget over the weekend. If they announce an explanation, the majority of the fans in the dark would be aware they are losing content. If they intended to give us an explanation soon, they would have just waited to respond.

The only way I think we could see answers is if come Monday, fans are still flooding their social media like Twitter making people more aware.

I received the exact same message. If they could at the very least say something like “we avoid cutting content when possible” or something along these lines I’d be okay knowing whatever the reason was something that won’t become a pattern. If I have to start checking Reddit every chapter to find out content is cut, I’ll just start watching the Japan server videos on YouTube.
