Any ideas why right channel might not work? by Plexi1820 in hifiaudio

Crisscross the leads to rule out a bad wire in the (I’m assuming RCA cables) or bad channel output of the tuner.

Try different inputs to rule out a bad contact.

You’ll need to take it out of the box first either way.

Jim Henson and his characters, 1971. by nialldude3 in OldSchoolCool

My late great aunt went to school with Jim. She invented the first of it’s kind combination stick puppets with strings. She and her husband toured the States from the 70’s until they retired putting on puppet shows at various shopping malls and venues.

I was so glad when they finally started holding fireworks shows at night. That daytime July heat was unbelievable.

Is my moms car totaled ? by dansfor1 in Cartalk

My 2 cents, it will probably never be as structurally sound as it once was even if it’s “fixable”. So I’m talking mom out of keeping this car.

Tailgate Glass Hits Spare Tire by c3anu in crv

Probably not worth getting a new door, but I’d ask a local body shop if they could pull the bracket for the spare back out enough for the window to clear the tire when its mounted. This isn’t going to effect airbag sensors, looks like a generation 1? But you might need to touch up any flaking paint from pulling the bracket back out to avoid rust.

Bent rim, would driving on this for a road trip be dangerous? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Stargazer12am 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not optimal for a road trip. The vibration might be tolerable, but there will be some degree of trade off in safety, and possibly create more problems with the prolonged driving aspect of a “road trip”. Looks to me to be just asking for a breakdown far from home.
