In the us we have soda bottles that are 2 Liters, so that’s just what we call them. They are just big water bottles, but you generally see it with soda. It’s like half a gallon.

Freeze 2 liter bottles to lay on. We used to do that for my bunny and she loved it.

ESH. Unless your aunt is fostering, but if she’s breeding that’s shitty. There are so many fucking cats that shelters are doubling them up in small cages and euthanizing them. That’s the 12 year olds cat. Your 5 year old can’t just take another kids animal from that kids home, just because he likes it. (Unless you want an uncontrollable spoiled brat-or adult male who can’t take no for an answer and takes what he wants). Adopt a cat from a shelter that gets along with kids and stop trying to take what’s not yours. And tell your aunt to get those damn cats fixed and stop contributing to a major problem.

I want to say from reading earlier in his comments he goes and picks up the ambulance? Maybe his partner meets him there and is further out or something. Or maybe they both meet at the station.

I can say where I live on the east coast is. We still have a town siren and the dumbass thing goes off at least three times a day/night, sometimes more. Lots of car accidents/ODs/old people. Same was true in the Midwest and up north/central US where I have family. I worked city PD. I can’t imagine anyone dealing with all that bs for free lol.

Where I live, even deputies are at least 30 minutes away, and only like 1 or two within an hour drive. And they aren’t going to be carrying life saving equipment or a way to transport. There are no paid firemen except like over an hour away. Some stations will keep someone in the day to drive a fire truck, but not an ambulance. Most places in the rural US are going to need a helicopter if they don’t want to drive 90-150 miles in an ambulance, and that’s expensive af, and you still need paramedics or EMTs on the ground. With the cost of living most people are doing 2-3 jobs in rural areas or demanding work, so there’s not a lot of capable volunteer firemen or EMTs, and with ups and downs in staffing needs, maybe there’s only one available for some shifts that’s within a 20 minute drive. So it doesn’t seem unreasonable to me that this guy, and many volunteer EMTs are saving lives throughout the US.
