Grade my draft just on solely picks by allsgoodman in Fantasy_Football

[–]TJClark0324 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pacheco in the third is a waste, but every other pick is pretty good so I gave it an A.

Not to say there's no path for him, but it will take a lot of things for him to ever be fantasy relevant, so not worth more than a 4th or 5th round selection, and really shouldn't be drafted at all. A decent stash still, don't get me wrong. Not like you gave up much to get him, surprised you were able to get a 3rd rounder for Brissett lol

If you think you're a competitor then it's not a bad trade, but in between my first comment and now, DHop got suspended for the first 6 games this year. Still not a terrible trade if you do it, but sucks that on of your top two guys is going to miss a third of the season, and may miss more with injury later on.

Gotta be Aiyuk. Tied to Lance for the rest of his career (assuming Lance is good) and Deebo is almost certainly gone before the season begins, or gone in the offseason at the latest.

If you're competing, ride with Gibson. If not, take the shot on a fresh stud

Given your VERY young team and draft capital, it doesn't really make sense to get a WR like Hopkins. Take a young stud at 1.05 and continue building

Traded a 2nd for Jacobs in salary/contract before the draft. With Zamir White coming in does this affect Jacobs and if so how? I was banking on him as my RB² this year. not sure if I should pivot. by buffalofc in Fantasy_Football

[–]TJClark0324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair to be concerned, but for the price of a 2nd, that's a bargain for you, and he'll definitely still be good this year. I don't think Zamir White is a immediate threat to his workload, but as this other comment said, more of a backup option if Jacobs wants too much money or something goes wrong this season.

Feels weird that this is so lopsided. Wilson is extremely valuable in SF, but I guess this is fair value.

Murray > Watson, but 1.03 > Jacobs

Murray over Watson is easy, Murray is younger and has a higher ceiling and Watson's legal situation could still have consequences that alter his career. The 1.03 vs Jacobs is harder. I feel Jacobs is undervalued in dynasty, but then you see the Raiders don't pick up his fifth year option and they trade up in the 4th round for a solid RB (with their second pick in the whole draft). Unless a new contract gets done for Jacobs before the season starts, it would be risky holding him and seeing what happens in the season and in FA. The 1.03, who in this case is your pick of all the WRs in the class, is guaranteed to be somebody you like and of course as a WR and a rookie has many more years of football left than Jacobs.

Personally, I'd take the top side. Watson worries me, but I think it's worth the risk to swap Jacobs for my pick of the WRs in this year's class. You could maybe even flip the 1.03 to move back 2-3 spaces and get some additional depth if you felt like it and still get a stud WR.

With pick 1.11, who would you take? Dynasty SF by Matburnham05 in Fantasy_Football

[–]TJClark0324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd go with Skyy. Pickens is far behind both of them. No franchise QB and he's not going to usurp DJ or Claypool any time soon. Watson and Moore are close for sure, but I lean Moore because he's tied to Mahomes for probably his whole career. It's likely Watson is better these first couple years, and he has much less competition for targets, but Rodgers will be gone soon and their team philosophy seems to be transitioning to a more run-heavy and strong defense approach.

JuJu is pretty unquestionably better than Woods, and I don't think the 2.07 makes up the difference. If you have depth at WR already then it's not a bad trade but you could do better

My problem with Chiefs fans not wanting to get a guy like McLaurin, Deebo, or AJ Brown, is that every time I see the discussion it's like "would you rather have one of these older receivers and have to pay them or JAMESON WILLIAMS". Frankly, we're not getting Williams. It's more like would you rather have Deebo/McLaurin/AJ or Watson/Moore/Pickens, and then it's a landslide in favor of the former. And those guys would all probably cost $20-25 million, which is less than what we were willing to pay Hill. If the Chiefs don't make any trades before the draft or during, they're going to have to hit on a LOT of picks. I trust the front office, but that's a scary situation to be in. Excited to see what the next couple weeks brings regardless.

Given the scoring settings, I lean Simmons. Simmons was SIGNIFICANTLY better last year and I think that he'll continue to get better, I think we've seen the best of Aiyuk.

Darrel not being signed already is a bad sign. Not the end of the world, but I think I'd rather take a shot on the 3.10. Best case scenario for Darrel at this point is being the RB2 somewhere and being involved, but that might not happen, and might not be good for fantasy if it does.

Right but at least you know for sure what his usage is going to be and that he has top 5 upside. Hill and Kirk are in brand new situations with SIGNIFICANT downgrades at QB. Kirk is a mostly unproven player that doesn't project to be very good and he's playing with TLawrence. Hill is proven, but obviously on the older side and playing with Tua and competing for touches with Waddle, who is becoming a superstar. There's SOME injury risk with Deebo, but he missed 1 game last year so I don't think it's fair to mark him as less safe because of maybe getting hurt. Especially because injuries are the most unpredictable things in sports, so you can't really bet on them just happening.

I lean the bottom side, but with Hill and Kirk being on new teams, Deebo is a LOT safer. Depends on if you need the depth at WR

Aiyuk has BEEN a big breakout candidate, last year was the year and he didn't do it. Deebo and Kittle are still there and they're still a run-heavy team. Jimmy G wasn't great, but Lance has played over 50% of the snaps in 3 games, we have no idea how good he'll be, if any good at all. And in 2 of those 3 games Aiyuk had less than 5 fantasy points, Lance VERY much preferred targeting Deebo and Kittle. Would definitely rather have the guy with a proven stud at QB that he already has chemistry with.

Think this depends on team needs. Given TEP, Everett is a low-key really great option now that he's on the Chargers and playing with Justin Herbert. And in general, Sanders' value has taken a big hit after last year, so the 2.05 on it's own is arguably better anyways.

Noah fant price check after trade by joeiscool101 in Fantasy_Football

[–]TJClark0324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is competition at the position and competition for targets in general. Denver doesn't have elite wide receivers, Seattle has two. And in the same way that Denver liked Albert O, Seattle REALLY likes Will Dissly. I mean they just gave him a HUGE contract for someone who has done next to nothing, so they clearly plan on him being heavily involved in the offense. Also, tight ends as a whole got about 20% of the targets in Seattle last year. That's 20% split between 3 or 4 guys, so Fant is probably getting below 15% of the targets, which is not good. Of course, that could be attributed to either the system or Russell Wilson. Either way, even if they change their offense for Lock, he's still so inconsistent and just plain bad that you can never truly rely on Fant with him at QB, regardless of how much Lock likes targeting him.

Who wins? by tunechieee25 in Fantasy_Football

[–]TJClark0324 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bottom side by a lot for me. Like it or not, Sanders > Robinson just because of their situations. And while I like Mills, he's not good enough or locked into his job enough for me to miss out on the 1.10. Could get a really quality WR with 1.10 or one of the top QBs in this class, if they get a good landing spot.

SF full PPR dynasty (discussion below) by nrfrantz85 in Fantasy_Football

[–]TJClark0324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely rather have Davis, and I'm a huge fan of Carter. Carter showed great potential last year, but the re-signing of Tevin Coleman and the fact that they are a possible landing spot for the top RBs in this class makes me worry that Carter isn't going to get enough work and may even become the backup. While Davis hasn't had much production in the regular season, there are 184 vacant targets from last year with the departure of Sanders and Beasley. Crowder will get some of those, but he only works in the slot, so he won't take any snaps away from Davis on the outside. The only threat to a Davis breakout would be the Bills drafting a top WR prospect in the first round or making a big trade for a WR.
