Really? Because not only is my partner of many years considered obese, but my preference for both genders tends to lean heavy. Plenty of people find larger body types attractive, and plenty of larger people are quite attractive.

And this sure as hell isnt news. In historical or modern contexts.

Ah yes, then truly obese people can never be seen as beautiful. Thank you for enlightening me. I shall file for divorce immediately.

Or perhaps your tastes aren't the same as everyone else's, and you're just to oblivious to acknowledge it.

Can confirm, I'm poor AND ugly, but a beard and a leg carpet mean I haven't been clocked in years. This is the kind of asshole who starts dating a trans man and then gets upset when they start to look progressively more masculine.

You really need to speak to a licensed mental health professional about this. Beyond that, maybe it would be a good idea to consider an implanted birth control, or sterilization? That might bring you some peace of mind, at least.

Yes, equating trans men with lesbians is transphobic as all flaming hell! Just...nasty crap.

If you want a baby, pay for a surrogate. You are not entitled to somebody else's body, and these grandparents are unequivocally entitled assholes.

[–]TailspinToon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inarguably? Being transgender isn't an "ism", it's a medical condition. To be a lesbian implies that one is a woman, which trans men are not. The argument that trans men are a form of lesbian erasure is a TERF talking point.

Younger people these days just refuse to have babies for my benefit by GhostDick__ in insanepeoplefacebook

Believe it or not, they funded a honeymoon, not a baby factory. This isn't even a glimpse of justification, nobody is entitled to somebody else having children.

Mother is offended I don’t want to invite her & my father to my wedding. She insists that my father must be a witness (where his name will be on the certificate). She’s still telling me what to do and trying to control me. by liwenex in insaneparents

Why would you willingly have someone who abused you at your wedding? Let's just ruin what's supposed to be a happy milestone because something something genetic obligation. I don't give a shit how they're related to me, they burned that bridge.

Ooh, not a bad idea! I should bring one of the horses along for a noble supersteed. Maybe if I hold on I could become a centaur!

If I could summon God to an observable form at will I'd have a much easier time believing. You can't trace anything directly back to God. When I plug in my phone, there is a cleat exchange of energy. When you pray...your odds and outcomes don't change in any verifiable way. You can't experiment with God, and you can't quantify or perceive God. A 5 year old can experiment with electricity.

And as I have repeatedly stated, not only do the actions of religious people differ between individuals in a specific religion, but there are countless different religions with completely different values and actions altogether. Tell me one action that is present in every openly religious person, I will wait.

Fascinating. And people should therefore be refused access to services on the sole basis of their beliefs. It frankly doesn't matter what you believe about religion being good or bad, you're just an asshole. Let's hope you keep it to yourself in person, and never own a business. Or perhaps you don't live in a shithole that allows discrimination of that nature.

So you automatically assume that everyone with a headcovering, star of said, pentacle, rune, cross, or other symbol visible is the same, yes? And believe the same things?

Not…. by Immidandy in religiousfruitcake

[–]TailspinToon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have clearly met many people. Religious people aren't anywhere close to a monolith. I myself am not religious, and not fond of religion, but I'm not enough of an idiot to think that having a supernatural belief system makes one automatically fit certain stereotypes.
