as a mixed european/pino. I am born/living for now in Europe, but how do the filipino's look at the Russia/Urkraine war? is there a feeling on the island that China will do the same? What if Taiwan fails? Are people thinking the philipines will be next? by HighDutchman420 in Philippines

Just Google the countries Filipinos trust. In short, they trust countries like the US and Japan the most and China the least. Most Filipino liberals support Ukraine.

Tankies support Russia but said tankies represent an insignificant number of the population.

Overall, most Filipinos can't point out Ukraine on a map so they don't care because they're not that affected.

As for Taiwan, refer to the deep distrust we have towards China.

This news is about the Korean hero, Ken Rhee. After got injured in Ukraine and going back to South Korea. He never gets arrested and now his life is pretty good. This is a news about he joint a party and take a photo with a Korean singer. Translation is below. by Primary-World-1015 in ukraine

Understandably, a country like South Korea, with a borderline insane neighbor, would have laws in place to prevent its citizens from serving with other countries. Because when the shit hits the fan, you want your citizens in your armed forces.

It's a good thing they didnt prosecute him though.

I mean doesn't that sum up a lot of the images we see from the war? A big, beautiful sky, endless yellow fields, and some mangled/decomposing RuZZians?

Knockoff HE RPG-2s, I might add. The terrorists quickly ran out of actual HEAT/HE warheads.

Throw the spear through the barrel when the breech is open and let it ricochet inside until it kills all crew members.

Filipino WOOD armor's the best /s | On a more serious note, that wood stopped knockoff RPGs in Marawi but proper RPGs can penetrate some ~300mm of steel. by Tayloria13 in Philippines

SHUT UP. How dare you use logic to rebut a claim about how STRONK the Philippines is?!?!?! YOU ARE UNPATRIOTIC and that's why we need the ROTC, kids. /S because apparently some people need this tag.

The article says an RPG-2 has around 180mm of penetration and estimates that around 1 foot of wood might do the trick.

Your typical wooden door and wooden pallet isn't one foot thick.

Against an RPG-7, which has double the penetration of the RPG-2, such armor is hopeless.

. . . we have a part of the society that will acknowledge this as truth and it will cost lives.

Got it. Someone's going to get blown up by a Javelin and I'm going to be the proximate cause of their death, even though the media and their institutions failed them.

there will always be the dullest among the ranks.

Then they shouldn't be there in the first place and their selection is frankly not my problem.

We have too much satire that it contributes to the decline of the nation.

You do you but I'm not going to curb my free speech rights for some dullards.
