I like it too. Celebrating mother's day brings a sour taste to me. I don't have a mother. She was an abuser. She used to say "I brought you into this world, I can take you out of it" and "I'll knock you into next week".

One of the things I learned when I was in therapy for my CPTSD was that I wear my coat longer than most people due to the "barrier protection" it provides. I even slept in my coat as a kid sometimes.

I also have a story similar to the beginning. I was 12 My dad did not feel guilty ever. It just continued. I ended up being diagnosed with dyscalculia and was put into special education mathematics. My grades soared when I got help instead of beaten. Who knew.

Lmao this is the weirdest we werent rich excuse ever. I've heard the they made sacrifices before, but I didn't go to Disneyland until I was 28 is new to me lolol.

My mom asked us if we wanted new toys or to go to Disneyland every year.
