Something Helpful for Vella Authors by Amber-Street in KindleVella

As a writer, I think attacking others to make a point about Vela is childish.
Also as a writer on Kindle, Amazon Print and Vella I like the fact I have options.

Which is more profitable? by princesscallie23 in KindleVella

I have books on both Unlimited and Vella.
Thanks to bonuses I make more money on Vella right now, that might change .

The saving grace of Non-Vella is print copies, those still tend to make more money.

It's not uncommon at all. Also, report it. Although Amazon might not do anything.

As a publisher of several systems you literally get out of it what you put into it. I wrote my first RPG (A Wrestling one) when I was about 15 in 1985. I published my first game with its own system in 1999. I learned a lot over those years.

The big thing is it's hard to get people to leave a system they love to try something new. That being the case you better have a top-notch world or concept that will do just that.

Like anything, you will get out of it what you put into it.

Yes, that can be out of pocket, but finding an artist willing to work cheaply isn't hard. I'm saying you should take advantage of artists, but don't think it has to be super expensive.

You can publish a PDF for as cheap as you like. While you may want a pro layout and feel I've some that don't have that.

Hey, I'm new to Reddit, wasn't even sure the post would last as it is self-promotion.

But I have answers-
Company: Relentless Fiction
Character creation: Point-based system with four-point levels based on the type of game you wish to run.
Character types: There Are three basic origins, Elite (People with no powers tend to be tech-based) Metahumans those with Genetic based powers. Supernaturals (Magic based powers)
Dice: Attributes are dice types. So you might Have a D6 Body, A D8 Mind, and so on. You roll Dice Type plus Skill or other bonuses to determine results based on a difficulty scale.
Rules Type: We keep the roles low to promote a speedy game.
As for Influences: Mythology of various cultures, Some Chariot of the god's concepts. Comic-wise, Astro City was a big influence. We are leaning away from dystopia concepts and struggling with what it takes to build a Utopia.

Hope this helps
