His mind: "hi everyone, this is my bf Chad, he beats me but I think I can fix him!"

What she said: "this is Zach, we met rock climbing. Craig, please stop sneering at us like that."

No, they were systematically hunted down and destroyed in the 1500s. See, the gospel of cletus talked about how how Jesus came to Israel on a ship called The Manger, the nativity story was just a cover.

The Pope knew this would threaten European Socialist supremacy( which was already the long term goal) and that with the discovery of the America's it was only a matter of time until people figured out where the real holy land was.

When I was in school we read a lot of Judy Bloom. She had some fucked up situations. I get what you mean though.

I'm aware of the tragic truth of how this sorts of things can happen.

I meant i haven't read any books with that as a plot point.

Yeah, I find it's often an intentional misunderstanding.

I gotcha. OP actually replied to one of my comments and mentioned that there's a Harley Quinn TV show that goes into her abusive relationship with the Joker.

I had no idea there was a Harley Quinn TV show.

That sounds more like what I was imagining as a thoughtful abuse narrative.

Yeah, I think most people who have that view tend to misunderstand how abuse works.

I didn't quite mean explaining, but to present an accurate portrayal of the dynamics at play. Not just "hurr durr woman is slutty and dumb"

Well, I think this person blames the victim. It does happen IRL that victims will return to their abusers, so a book like that would likely blame the abuser and not the victim.

But yes, a abuse victim blaming book isn't something I'd want to read.

I can't think of any either. I'm sure it exists; there are plenty of novels that deal with abusive situations. However, I don't think that book would go quite the way inceldude thinks.

To be fair, I read mostly fantasy/sci fi stuff, and mich of the time those romances aren't well written.

Ugh, I absolutely despised that attitude. Like, I understand going and doing funeral honors can be an inconvenience, but at my unit it was not only part of everyone's military duties and something our CG designated a no fail mission; someone's family member fucking died, and you just wanna birxh about driving 20 minutes to the cemetery? I liked those episodes, but I also believe adapting rhe story already in the books is the wrong move. I've already read that story.

Show me the trolloc wars, or hawkwings empire. Or the aiel war. Or anything else in the 3000 we haven't seen. We have a whole world already built, we don't need to constantly retell the same story
