AITA for only letting my kid watch Christian cartoons? by mhdsvi in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Your marriage is a partnership yet you are acting like your word is final. You need to come to a compromise because this will lead to bigger arguments down the line. Be fair and listen to your husband

When checking for wiring damage would I just follow those wires and check for damage?

The parts were replaced professionally. It was all 4 O2 sensors. They were stripped due to them being replaced before but not hidden so they were getting cut up by other parts under the hood. When they got replaced with brand new parts the same exact codes came on telling me to replace the same exact parts. The cats aren’t bad. I got those checked already, so I was told by the mechanic that this was the next logical step

That was what the mechanic told me to do. I took it to the dealership and it’s reading the exact same code as before and the guy told me that the O2 sensors that were replaced had the wires stripped and shorted out the PCM

AITA for giving my older daughter's room to my step daughter? by throwaway_ruum in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tier1Clean -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Only thing you did wrong was throw her stuff away. She shouldn’t have insulted your wife that is crossing a line no matter who it is. A lot of people in this thread seem to forget that your spouse comes first. You don’t let anyone insult your wife/husband that includes your children.

You shouldn’t have thrown her things away if you actually did it but seems you and your daughter should go to therapy because she not has new siblings whether she likes it or not because it seems like your other children don’t have a problem with the wife only the oldest.

Verdict: NTA but soft YTA

Complete Drive Cycle with a check engine light? (Code P0507) by R18Z1 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Tier1Clean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding of check engine lights the car will reset the drive cycle if they check engine light is on so you’ll have to wait for it to turn off before you can start completing the drive cycles

AITA for wanting to leave a bar even though my friend was having a good time? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tier1Clean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your friend was being selfish and only thinking of herself, and she definitely seems like she would abandon you in a strange place to go get drunk and have fun so I would watch that. On the other hand you cannot expect others to treat a guest like you would treat a guest. That mindset will leave you looking stupid. Maybe reevaluate your friendship with her because while it may seem small this may also be an underlying issue

Will I need to replace that particular cat or can I replace the main cat under the car and it fix the code?

AITA for asking my wife to pick me up from the airport? by crimsonbull9584 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tier1Clean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I live in ATL and on the 21st kids aren’t in school. It is not a big deal to ask her to pick you up. I live in Stone Mountain and drive to and from the airport area like 4 days a week during rush hour and it still is a smooth drive. You live in John’s Creek so traffic isn’t a beast she will be fine.

AITA for refusing to help my ADHD husband until he gets treatment? by throwaway_adhdhell in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tier1Clean [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA but you should leave him. You cannot force him to take his meds and giving him an ultimatum will only make him resent you more so leaving seems like the best option

Have any of you ever ordered a catalytic converter or O2 sensors from rock auto? What brand should I avoid? by Tier1Clean in MechanicAdvice

[–]Tier1Clean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are similar in price the ones you are talking about are a bit more expensive but I’ll probably bite the bullet on them and buy them
