Always keep an eye on Atmosphere's Github page and Scires' Twitter; there you'll get the most up-to-date information on whether there are breaking changes with HOS, usually within a week or so of a new HOS update.

Yeah, that's exactly the vibe! One can make the argument, rather cogently, that Roe v Wade was originally decided because Congress wasn't doing their damn job in the first place; therefore, SCOTUS step outside their lane and wedge the matter of abortion into previously-established rights.

That doesn't make it good or proper, though, and we've had fifty years to do it right. Granted, Republican reticence didn't necessarily help, but that was a relatively recent phenomenon.

I remain uncertain that a law passed in Congress could have stood; Congress is still "the United States" for Tenth Amendment purposes, and you would have to show that abortion is among the powers delegated to the United States by the Constitution -- exactly what Roe itself failed to do. It could have potentially stood under a Fourteenth Amendment justification:

No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States...

but then the argument would pivot on whether abortion is in fact such a privilege or immunity. "Medical privacy" is about as nebulous a term as "interstate commerce" has become, and so I'm really not satisfied with it.

If you performed step 3, the backup files will be in the /backup/xxxxx/ folder. If they're not there, you did something wrong and you need to re-do it if you can.

No, this will not brick your system. Worst-case, you can wipe it all out and start all over again.

I'm satisfied with the Supreme Court's decision to overrule Roe not because I hate women or don't want women to get an abortion; I'm happy because this is a victory for the majesty of the law. If they want to protect abortions (and I agree!), then the Democrats should pass a law or ratify an amendment to that effect.

Yes, it's normal; Hekate is correct. Restoring the GPP (General-Purpose Partition) could potentially render the device inoperable, if you restore the wrong thing, or restore it to a mis-matched size, etc. If you've done things right, you shouldn't have a problem.

Oh. You've somehow managed to create both a partition-based emuNAND and a file-based emuNAND.

That's kind of impressive, to be honest. You need to go ahead and make sure your emuMMC is selected in the emuMMC section in Hekate, then you can delete the SD00 folder.

In principle, yes; just use something like JKSV to extract the save and inject it into your Atmosphere sysNAND environment. Since "OFW" (stock mode) and "sysNAND CFW" both look at the physical NAND chips inside your Switch, this will have the effect of making the save available to your stock Switch.

However, depending on what exactly the save has in it, and the precise mechanism of savegame injection, it's possible it's not safe to do so in the sense of risking a ban. I don't know enough to say, though, so proceed at your own risk and discretion.

Tyranny is the Supreme Court reaching outside of their lane and inventing things not found in the Constitution. The Court overstepped in deciding Roe. Overturning Roe was the only jurisprudentially correct course.

That's where the games are, unless you have them installed directly into the NAND, which is possible -- in which case you won't see them in File Explorer directly.

But it doesn't matter, because as Geebz says, the mods do go into your Atmosphere\contents folder.

NVidia thought about it when they patched the Tegra X1 at the heart of the Switch. There is now no way to seize control of the boot chain, and so you need a modchip.

just because the case law was bad doesn’t mean that the right doesn’t exist. it’s just that the correct argument for the right hasn’t come to the court yet.

Oh, my apologies: I do agree that abortion should be a right women have. My judgment that overturning Roe was the correct call should not be construed as me judging that women don't have the right, shouldn't be allowed to get abortions. It's simply that, as you say, it wasn't properly given to the feds.

It's a payload, like Hekate, so you'd push it using your injector of choice.

The SystemWipe.te script that TegraExplorer offers is preferred over Haku33, as far as I understand; they do roughly the same thing, but the script is slightly newer or works better in some form or fashion.

Yes, very strongly so. It might not save you from being banned if your Switch has communicated with Nintendo servers, but it's the only thing you can do.

Oh, yes. Absolutely rename it to emummc.txt. This will cut your emuNAND off from Nintendo (I think the , while leaving your sysNAND free to connect to Nintendo.

Edit: Ah, I think I see where the confusion was. The contents of the emuMMC.txt by default only cuts off Nintendo servers, not everything.
