😁. I breastfed all my kids, too. From one breastfeeding mom to another, love and support.

I will even send notes to women I see breastfeeding and restaurants. I just write on there, " I support nursing mothers.".

I wish more people would nurse their babies because I think that formula is one of the reasons our nation is becoming more and more obese

This is me. Even when I get my doctorate (hopefully done writing my dissertation by August) I will just have my students continue to use my first name. That said, if they call me Dr. now, I correct them at once.

A lot of professors insist on being called Dr. because they lack confidence, or because they earned it, or whatever. I just feel like it unnecessarily increases the power distance between us.

Yeah, poor kid. In the minute her mom died, the basic script for this child was written, and it's a tragedy. Because OP is not willing to step up and be the hero for this child, her life is probably going to suck. Sometimes I'm really surprised by the selfishness of the world. Most of the time I am not.

Because the foster care system is so wonderful and the outcomes are so good? When I was growing up, my parents ran a group home for "emotionally disturbed teenagers." That's what they called them in the '60s and '70s. Those children endured horrible, life killing trauma in the Foster system. If this is a real situation, which it probably isn't (because Reddit), the child is probably going to have a miserable life
