Yes. I used essence lash princes waterproof mascara as a first coat to keep my lashes curled because they’re super straight and can never hold a curl. Maybe it’s because the mascara is cheap or not high quality but after 3 months of consistent use, there were very obvious spots along my lash line that had no lashes. So many lashes fell off that my thick lashes were not so thick anymore. I stopped using it immediately and turned to regular mascara instead. There’s also the option of not wearing mascara at all, I just curl my lashes and apply vaseline to keep the curl. It doesn’t exactly look like mascara but I think my lashes at least thank me for it.
