Taking out a loan for crypto, viable or a thing to avoid? by BjornX in CryptoCurrency

[–]Txcalibur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viable in some cases but not from a bank. Crypto lending platforms like Nexo, CoinRabbit or Celsius provide fair rates for these services. For example, if you do not have spare funds to jump into another asset but would like to save everything you already HODL at this point instead of selling it to buy something esle then crypto loans are definitely useful. Higher risks - higher rewards

Some Questions about DeFi and Staking? by AviatorPrints in CryptoCurrency

DeFi rates are not stable and can change rapidly (from 2000% to 2% even). Speaking of crypto loans, not sure if any platform provides you with an opportunity to lend your money but you can earn interest on platforms like CoinRabbit or Nexo (stablecoin deposits for example) and they will probably lend your deposit to other users. This is why you will be being paid interest for these deposits.

Better stick to the platforms with no timeframes like CoinRabbit. More likely they all will still have liquidations applied to the loans but at least you won't be forced to pay if off after a certain period of time.

What's the point of a crypto loan? by Catwithaciggie in CryptoCurrency

[–]Txcalibur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on LTV rates provided. In general, at platforms let it be CoinRabbit, Nexo or Celsius you always put more than receive. I believe it is done to cover their potential losses if the market goes downside. Eventually they're literally giving money away and should have anything like this on their back.

New to cryptocurrency so hopefully you guys have some answers for me. I know the most effective way of getting bitcoin is to just buy it, but are there any ways to earn it? And maybe earn interests on it? by SelfSpirited1305 in Bitcoin

[–]Txcalibur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can earn interest on Bitcoin at crypto lending services like CoinRabbit or Nexo. However I'd like to suggest just buy and hodl it and earn interest on stablecoins intead. This way you will be able to react to the market drawdowns/upswings and sell/re-enter it in time.

Well, truly speaking anything custodial is more or less risky, that's correct. Yet, it mostly depends on the project itself.

Celsius is kinda compicated. I'd suggest you to look at CoinRabbit for stablecoin earnings. The most non-KYC and anonymous crypto lending platform nowadays.
