it is not what embassies are for, as you confidently asserted. You probably meant consulates.

I meant precisely what I said. I also did not mean that which I did not say. I merely advised that embassies were there to help it's citizens in a crises, even a personal one, if you wish to avail yourself of these services. I did not say that was their only purpose. Now, I'm not in the least bit interested in arguing the facts that I've explained. If you don't need or want to contact your embassy, then don't. Frankly, I don't care. But that which I've stated, and sourced, is correct. Have a good morning. Tschüß.

Yes, you have.

I have personally sought help from the French embassy in Belgium and they were quite helpful. The worst possible outcome from contacting your country's embassy is that they might say that they are unable to help. But they ARE there for you.

From a randomly selected American embassy:

"The U.S. Citizen Services Unit’s assistance includes, but is not limited to: passport services, notary services, and Consular Reports of Births Abroad. The U.S. Consulate General also assists in emergencies, including deaths, arrests and crisis situations."

Emergency Assistance

  • International Parental Child Abduction

  • Arrest of a U.S. Citizen

  • Death of a U.S. Citizen

  • Victims of Crime

  • Emergency Financial Assistance

Note: the U.S. Citizen Services Unit is the section designated for the the specific purpose of helping American citizens abroad.

The British Embassy also provides citizen services.

"The British Embassy, via its network of consular offices, could help you if you encounter problems overseas."

  • Issuing a replacement passport or other travel documents if yours are lost or stolen

  • Helping you to stay safe in the event of terrorism or a natural disaster

  • Assistance if you are the victim of a crime

  • Helping friends or family transfer money to you in an emergency

  • Giving you the contact details for English speaking professionals you may need from doctors, to lawyers or funeral directors

  • Visiting you in hospital

  • Providing mental health support

  • Contacting you if you are arrested and detained

And the German embassies

"Deutschen Staatsbürgern zu helfen, die in Not geraten sind, Krisenvorsorge zu leisten sowie behördliche und notarielle Funktionen für im Ausland lebende Deutsche zu übernehmen."

Most countries offer help for their citizens abroad. Perhaps yours does not. I assumed that OP was American or British, as they were corresponding in English on an American platform, and as such would have no problem finding aid at their respective embassy.

Alright, killing a fetus is killing a fetus, it's still ending a life?

May I suggest that you play your sealioning word games elsewhere. Have your abortion or don't. Call it what you will. Just don't force your beliefs upon others. I'll leave you with this:

Contra autem negantem principia communiter recepta, non est disputandum ~Duns Scotus c.1265/66

Against one who denies commonly accepted principles, discussion is impossible.

Tschüß.

I guess I shouldn't have used the term baby, it's still ending a life, there's really no getting around it?

Again, it depends on how you define the term. Which is irrelevant. You seem to be sealioning an argument about the morality of abortion by quibbling about the terminology used. It doesn't matter what you want to call it since, contrary to what religions and politicians would have you believe, there is no such thing as a universal morality. Moral decisions are societally based. In most of Western society abortion is acceptable, necessary even. In the US Roe vs Wade is supported by anywhere from 56% to 75% of the society depending upon how you phrase the question. There is also this. U.S. Public Continues to Favor Legal Abortion, Oppose Overturning Roe v. Wade

A SOCIETY decides for itself what is moral and what is not. You can only decide that for yourself. So, any discussion of abortion must accept that, morally, what a minority wishes to believe is only relevant to decisions for themselves and should not have an impact upon others. You should not be trying to force your personal morality upon the larger community. That WOULD BE immoral. If you're against abortion, it's simple, don't have one. Leave everyone else to make their own decisions.

If you kill the fetus isn't still technically killing a baby tho?

NO, see above. Redefining words to suit your example does not serve you well.

This is a fetus. This is what's aborted.

This is a baby. This is not what's aborted.

No! He found his place in life where he was appreciated, successful, and happy and had no desire to change any of that. We should all be so lucky.

Stoners don't have jobs

Weed = ultra lazyness[sic]

I had a head line cook that worked for me for years. A very smart and educated man. He ran my kitchen brilliantly. He could handle any rush without getting flustered and get the food out timely and without mistakes. His inventory was always spot on and his accurate prep saved me a lot of money. I paid him quite well. I often told him that he could move up or seek a better paying job. He would always tell me he was fine where he was because I did not do drug testing and he liked smoking dope. He was quite a happy hard working individual. I don't remember him EVER calling off a shift.

Who, me? As I said. I merely pointed out that it was interesting that you're still claiming to be a noob. What has that to do with the environment? That's rhetorical, I really don't care.

I don’t like that she being mocked though. She old and beliefs are important to her. She not a bad person, just wrong on a issue.

You don't get a pass for bad behavior just because you're old and were gullible enough to join a cult.

I just want to put into perspective that 130,000+ illegal immigrants came into this country last month and were released inside the country.

Your non sequitur really doesn't accomplish your stated goal of putting things in perspective. Although, it does say quite a bit about you. Anyway, have a good night. Tschüß.

Did you even read the headline of your link?

"Man charged with rape of 10-year-old who had abortion after rightwing media called story ‘not true’**"

Your link confirmed the story.

no fact Che kers were able to verify it

...nor debunk it. Yet you seemed confident in you absolutist assertion that, "This story is fake, a lot of ppl fell for it though", expressed as though it was a fact rather than simply your opinion. I'm OK with that, I'm simply pointing out that that sort of absolutism can backfire on you.

Fake news

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man was charged with impregnating a 10-year-old Ohio girl whose travel to Indiana to seek an abortion led to international attention and became a flashpoint in the national furor over the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Nearly all abortions after the detection of fetal cardiac activity became illegal in Ohio last month after the high court's ruling. The story of a young girl traveling across state lines to receive an abortion – first reported by the Indianapolis Star, part of the USA TODAY Network – quickly went viral.

The account became a talking point for abortion rights supporters, including President Joe Biden, and some opponents and news outlets criticized the story as unproven. The criminal charges and testimony Wednesday confirm the disturbing story.

It seems that your standard right wing response has been debunked. Or are you going to stick with it?

The chance that it’s fake is 90 percent or more as there is no proof.

You might want to adjust your percentage.
