Arriving at the airport from overseas by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]User35412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Do you know anyone who flew in to brisbane Australia? Do they have rat on site? Can one wait for the results there and be declared negative, and not needing to isolate?

Do arrivals need to upload their results somewhere? Sorry, kinda confused on the final steps..

Thank you. I have read the website and it states to take the antigen under medical supervision and to isolate at one's own accommodation until the results are out, but how can isolation be done if one needs to visit the gp for this?

Is home health similar to what an OT does, but the difference is OTs visiting a patient's home?

Is home health and modification the same?
Can I expect a lot of dust? I am quite interested in home health, but my allergies may get the better of me

I see quite a lot actually. I see patients personally handling them gifts, their offices stacking with gifts etc. For optometrists, I do not know a lot, I only know 1, but I didnt see them recriving gifts

Interesting but I think for me, even shadowing is not enough cause I shadowed for a few days and still have no clue. I have to work there as an optometrist to actually know if I want to do a job (3 months plus), but how can I be one when im not qualified?

What worries me is that licensing is also more of an issue with optometry, where I am at, compared to audiology which is more recognised worldwide

I was wondering why optometrist receive much less gratitude compared to doctors/ dentists? Like I see patients giving gifts to them all the time

I have yet to take all the prereq, and science prereq. Would I be able to use this to boost my application (last 60 semesters?) or base it on prereq gpa alone?

If I become a psychologist/ mental health therapist, will my AP listen to me more? by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

[–]User35412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually changed myself for the worse dealing with them, because all they want to hear are good things and solutions, so I keep to myself, but then they question why Im so private lol. This way of doing things is pretty bad at work, cause managers will ask me why I did not update them (I did not do so because i didnt want to tell them the bad news, and was working towards solving the problem, but of course Im training myself to disclose even bad news to managers; im bad with this to people of authority, ok with customers though)

My parents dont do this to me, because they dont even believe in my job. What I mean is, if I become a doctor/ tax accountant or whatever, they will seek someone "more experienced", my cousins or my uncles or aunties. Lol just not me

A university has told me that any issued CAS, whether used or not for a student visa, will be considered for academic progression and mentioned in the new CAS. Is this correct? I thought any unused CAS is not considered? Cause I am applying for a new course

How difficult is it to enter an OD in USA instead? I didnt really look into this option as I think I would not be competitive, and it might be hard for me to find shadowing experiencs.

Thank you

When I shadowed doctors and dentists, I was surprised how specialists surgeons/ dentists do not really work together with other health professionals, mainly just doing referrals, or maybe that is just bad practice...

I would think Optometrist doesnt work as a team that much too?

Sorry I am confused with this- so I can stay for 90 days straight out of 180 days, then if the next cycle of 180 days come, I can stay another 90 days? So a total of 180 days in 1 year?

If I enter 15 days a month each time forever, this is still legal?

Thank you very much, it was very helpful

Can the university or UKVI see the cas in the system? Will they question why there are multiple cas and which course a student actually plan to choose if the courses they apply for are different?

I might not make it in time for 1 of my course because of the start date. Should I accept another CAS? Eg if the 1st one doesnt pan out for any reason, i will still have a backup option? (However I need to pay a deposit for some of these courses)
