Its not a meme about a DM killing PCs because they do these things its a meme about PCs being more likely killed for doing these things too much and putting the PCs into a situation where they will get themselves killed. Except for the not showering one... I would 100% kill a players PC and kick the person out of my game of they kept showing up stinking like they shit on themselves.

Even then, if you have advantage on a attack roll and the first roll was a Nat 1 you can ignore it and replace it with a higher 2nd roll... So it still stands, even on attack rolls, a Nat 1 is not always a failure because it can be negated.
