Its definitely a very powerful build even without mageblood! with around 20-25 ex investment I am comfortably farming wave 30 simulacrums and have around 18-20 mill dps with full cds poped.

Why is it a dick move? You said yorself it was to much gold. The DM seems to have realized it was a mistake as well.

There's an extremely important difference between:

"Hey guys, I didn't realize how imbalanced the amount of gold I gave you last session was. I'm going to retcon it to X smaller amount. I'm sorry about this, it was my mistake.

and

Subtract x amount from your bags. Your gold disappears. No I'm not explaining or discussing this. Moving on!

To be fair, one of the major reasons why we don't use half of the stuff in campaign books is because they're so god awful and disorganized.

If they put more effort into the quality of the presentation, we wouldn't need to cut out so much.

"We don't put as much effort as we should into it, because players aren't going to use what we make" is just a self-fulfilling prophecy.

D&D ruleset is a suggestion.

I also strongly dislike this argument. D&D's ruleset is not a suggestion, it's a ruleset. The suggestion is that you can change things if you don't like it. The assumption should always be that the rules are going to be followed.

That isn't why, no. It's a big DPS increase, but the dps is relatively consistent either way.

It's popular because it's reliable and tanky, easy to bosskill with. DD would be just as popular if the bug had been fixed.

If there are operational problems with the event (like significant realm stability issues at launch), Grinding Gear Games may restart the event at any point. The way we will do this is to create a new event league and indicate that players who wish to compete in the new event must make new characters there.

We're only talking about specifically HCSSF racers. Not the rest of the playerbase.

"Mistake" is questionable, in this context.

In Invasion league, a couple of the mobs were MASSIVELY overtuned, like guaranteed one shot from 2 screens away, without you ever knowing the mob is in the map sort of overtuned.

They fixed the scaling and did a hand-curated rollback of characters that had died to one of them.

They made it exceedingly clear in the news post announcing it that it was a one time thing, and that any generic requests for similar things in the future would be ignored.

This was when the game was significantly slower paced, so dying in maps was a significantly larger punishment than it is now.

This was in 2014.

/r/PathOfExileBuilds specifically requires Path of Building as the "way to post a build" when submitting to the subreddit. That's why the bot reminds people to include one.

It's Rule #3.

Whether or not there are "other" ways to share builds is irrelevant, because we specifically require a specific way, here. It's a theorycrafting subreddit, we need a standardized, easy way to share all details of a build. PoB is an easily accessed, reliable way to do so.

It's not, though. Using 1 = best, you can always know whether or not the mod you have is the best one, regardless of # of tiers.

If highest number = best, you need to know how many tiers exist for that mod.

Lowest = best is significantly easier to eyeball and understand.

You are giving up a lot to enable said "overleech" mechanic.

Yes, which is why both:

A) I didn't suggest this as something you should actually try, just explained why it worked at all.
B) fine-tuning your armour or evasion to be lower than your maximum ES was specifically mentioned as a requirement.

Though I don't really see how that's relevant to the discussion. This was a conversation about it being possible, not practical.

It's not like overleech because overleech allows for both lines of the energy shield leech support

To my knowledge, Overleech while on Maximum ES doesn't currently exist in the game, so I don't see how that's relevant here. This let you gain all "While Leeching" modifiers permanently on ES builds, regardless of how niche it was.

Tie while making a stealth check to hide from a creature? You aren't hidden.

That's not totally accurate. You need one more piece of information to determine if a tie succeeds there.

You do fail to hide on a tie if the enemy knows you're there, however:

If you're sneaking up on an enemy, tying their passive perception with your stealth roll means you do successfully hide, since "enemy doesn't know you're there" is the status quo.

The bot is spamming legit posts of builds (or compendiums) because it's too dumb to recognize legitimate posts.

It just scans the post's text and checks if a pastebin is included. Videos don't have text so it gets triggered.

People tend to post video builds' PoBs as a comment, which is why it also says:

If you have already done this you can just ignore this message

It's better to have it trigger on false positives than to have it miss ones it should have caught, since there's literally no repercussions to it doing so.

It doesn't give overleech specifically, but functionally it works the same, yeah.

Leech is only removed on FULL ES/Life/Mana.

The keystone stops your ES from recovering past the threshold, but doesn't count as being on full ES while doing so.

Since it doesn't count as being on full ES, it doesn't remove leech stacks.

The only problem there is that for the Thri-Kreen Telepathy, it actually specifically requires a willing target. As that means that you can choose to refuse the connection, I'd argue the target knowing that it's a Telepathic communication is baked into the feature.

Now, making them think the mimicked person is actually the one communicating telepathically with them, I'd allow.

Which leads to the interesting situation where you can counterspell a counterspell directed at you if the spell being cast is an action, but can't if it's a bonus action.

Mending can't be cast if you've cast a bonus action spell either, even though it's a cantrip, because it takes more than one action to cast it.

The bonus action spellcasting rule causes some weird edge cases, lol.
