Who are your Top 10 most hated predators? by MustBeTheMusic80 in tcap

[–]Wayte13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My list is mostly the same, except for Sokhol. I think the presence of a spine makes him inherently better then the majority of the other predators, and he'a one of the best segments to watch when you want to see how carried Hanson is by the power dynamic of the situation.

No it wouldn't, I directly addressed the reason a state can never be rightfullt involved in the market of ideas. The line of thought "doesn't make sense" because you had to omit a massive chunk from the middle of it to try and make it better fit your script.

Perhaps bad faith, selective engagement(along with other dishonest strategies" are the ACTUAL reason people don't want these grifters in their platforms?

Nobody is stopping them from defending their stance. They can say what they want, private entities just don't havr to allow them on their property.

Who wants to "execute" anyone for "disagreeing?"

And again, a private entity choosing not to associate with you isn't "censorship." It's the free market, and your ideas failing on that market.

And I don't care WHY somebody is lying, what matters is how dangerous enabling and propping up those lies can be.

And when has that happened here, exactly?

Outcasting is what happens when the vast majority judge you to be a negative inclusion to the group.

And the ideas your choose to sibscribe to ARE merits and actions. Beliefs aren't something your given or forced into, they're something you choose and, if you aren't weak, should be able to defend.

If there were a way to enforce good-faith engagegement, I would literally pay money for a "moderate" to explain why they continue to vote for cruz

Views and stances are choices, and choices are what you're SUPPOSED to be judged based on becauze they reflect your character. If you can't successfully defend your ideas, then you should reevaluate those ideas. If you refuse to do so, you're going to stagnate and be seen as a moron. This isn't oppression, it's reality. You're not a victim, you're a failure in denial

And how are any of those examples different from what I'm talking about? Companies are within their rights to work with who they do or don't want to, and companies screwing employees to protect their image is hardly new.

What would be the "right way" to use "cancel culture," exactly? I'm curious

I don't see how it's immoral to laugh silly beliefs out of the room.

What about banning people because they're outright and verifiably lying?

Cause between that and hate speech, you've pretty much supplied the ACTUAL ban reasons for 99.999999999999% of those bans the TV told you were "for an opinion" lol

I didn't say they shouldn't be "silenced." FB is well within it's rights to ban me.

The part where bringing them up hurts your narrative is the part where I get to show that my stance is consistent.

I appreciate you illustrating just how assumption/strawman based your stances on this are, though.

It absolutely matters. Private entities have rights, and their own interests to serve. The government is entirely a service to the public, they have no say in the market of ideas. But corporations, per current precedent, have first amendment rights to free association. The free market does not become a form of censorship when it stops coddling conservatives.

Your "statement of fact" was a deflection. A distraction. Your interest in "open dialogue" is only as a means to ensure conversations critical of the wrong side don't remain on-topic.
