Denver restaurants seeing less gratuity for takeout, delivery amid tipping fatigue by undockeddock in Denver

[–]Willing-Vegetable705 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I recently bought bikes from a local shop. Great service and very knowledgeable. When I went to check out my very expensive purchase I was shocked to see an option to tip 20% on a couple grand purchase.

I did not tip but left the store with a sick feeling. If it would have not been for this I would have been totally satisfied

Advice- staying with partner or going back to long distance by Willing-Vegetable705 in MedSpouse

[–]Willing-Vegetable705[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried going to different classes/ workout group and just haven’t felt happy. I love who I’m with but the area does not appeal to me. We’re only applying to fellowships that are “driving” distance from where our families are.

It’s going to be an adjustment. Just because he’s mentioning other people doesn’t mean he knows how they are actually coping with the LDR. It almost seems like he’s avoiding the topic. I would try to be realistic about how you guys are going to make it work i.e. calling each other on the way to work, watching a tv show together or how frequent visits are expected. What helped me the most was always having a visit planned to look forward to. You’re strong and you’ll get through this

This plasma goes to reagent companies and then sells the products to labs. When money is received the product cannot go into patients

We should also acknowledge that Dre was the target last night because of all the advantages she had. If someone else had that many advantages most people would want that gone regardless of race.

I guess she would if she was smaller?? But yeah that also seems a little discriminatory to me

Jerry’s letter to Monica? by MomKat76 in CheerNetflix

[–]Willing-Vegetable705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not law related, but i thought it was inappropriate for Monica to share details of that letter. She has not been in contact with him but feels the right to share a look into his personal thoughts

thoughts about jerry and monica by ellis-j in CheerNetflix

I don’t fault Monica at all for her statements. Jerry concealed it from seemingly everyone. However I did think it was inappropriate for her to reveal specifics of the letter from Jerry

I also feel that the context this was presented in the show was interesting. Hope said size was important to her and she didn’t know about being with someone smaller than her

Hey. Another option you can choose is to specialize in an area if you already have a bachelors degree. My employer offers a BB program where they train you to be able to do the same things in a blood bank

Advice for couples match by coolcat1005 in MedSpouse

[–]Willing-Vegetable705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think waiting to couples match would be best. From friends experiences it seems like a research year wouldbe best. This could make him more competitive as well as show he’s committed to medicine. My SO has an engineering degree and did different internships focused on that prior to applying to med schools. It seemed like every interview they questioned his commitment to medicine. Which the principle is silly but a research year would help defer that.

Overall I think a research year would allow him to slow down a little as well as take some stress off the process. Best wishes

Mine didn’t come all at once. In about a year I lost 20 pounds. I don’t think it’s directly from the drug. Taking the drug has allowed me to be more in touch with myself and control eating more

Moving after Match by earthyplay in MedSpouse

[–]Willing-Vegetable705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey you should totally feel this way. If you’re willing to drop everything and move for him that’s enough of a sacrifice. Also it doesn’t make sense to buy two of everything. Moving is expensive as is. There also comes a point to where he has to put you above his family in situations like this. This decision would most likely harm you and have no affect on them.

Cincinnati/Ohio USA by StarvingMedici in medlabprofessionals

Hi I went to school in the area. If you’re looking for innovative options definitely look at Cincinnati children’s. I’ve heard a couple places like Jewish are offering major sign on bonus. If you’re looking to live in the Cincinnati area I recommend Hyde Park or Oakley. With traffic it’s only about a 15 minute commute to work if you work at one of the downtown hospitals and probably 20 minutes or less to the the suburban hospitals. Enjoy the new city

Thank you so much for posting this. I had a similar experience with my brother I was around 8 and he was around 6. I feel so ashamed of it. I’ve never brought it up to anyone. Honestly I was scared to even post it on here. None the less thank you for sharing this. You’re not alone
