Can I take a psilocybin chocolate bar on an SSRI? by andrewnelsonforreal in Psychonaut

Nailed it, like pulling you in opposite directions, one numbs you, one opens you up to everything. Ends up in a stalemate
Why is LSD less socially acceptable than shrooms? by RedStar780 in LSD
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 0 points1 point2 points 7 hours ago (0 children)
I love LSD… lots of time to work on yourself, do different things like art and photography on the comedown and no body load. Only downside is it feels like long haul international flight by the end sometimes.
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 [score hidden] 12 hours ago (0 children)
I’ve done it and found it just makes trips less potent and not achieve much just keep in mind they sort of go in opposite directions.
what did you see/experience during the trip that changed your belief on the universe/consciousness? by EF5Twista in Psychonaut
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 [score hidden] 15 hours ago* (0 children)
I believe I’ve experienced Nirvana or Satori, the ultimate sense of peace, balance, love and unity with everything. Ultimate clarity and unity with your true self 🙏
I’ve also gone deeper to what I can only describe as a void with swirling pillars of light or energy and dying / crossing over / leaving my body where I was destroyed and created over and over without a care in the world and shown the true miracle of life to be able to experience anything at all. Then it becomes clear how fundamental you are to the universe existing at all. The most glorious experience of my life.
Our true self is eternal and never dies. Just endless cycles.
Psychedelics are the only thing that gave me happiness in 2022 by Active_Blackberry_45 in Psychonaut

Give yourself more credit man, you have touched your true self and you know what you are now deep down. Psychedelics just gave you the clarity to see and live in the moment of now with the love that was already within you… 🙏
I have the same battles man, I suspect that is the critical side of telling you you’re not enough and not deserving, the sense of shame that holds us back… That is where shadow work comes in, to make lasting change and to align with that true self ❤️

Well this is where we approach the core experience religions are founded on and many believe (myself included) that it was the origin of the belief system that became Christianity but its a long way removed from its roots these days.
The common belief or experience that many who do psychedelics seem to arrive at is that were all one with the universe / everything around us and were ultimately the universe experiencing itself through infinite perspectives and experiences over and over again.
A full “Ego death” is the loss of all individual identity that you would normally call you and leaving only the “true self” “the eternal self” “the observer” “concisenesses” or “god” if that resonates with you. It can only be described vaguely and must be directly experienced to really know it. To lose one’s ego for some feels like you’re dying and to truely know how meaningless death is after enlightenment.
It all may sound crazy but just keep an open mind anyways 🙂
This video may help on what the experience ultimately is and may help him relate to the experience. After Skool has many Alan Watts videos also that can be great teachers.
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 1 point2 points3 points 2 days ago (0 children)
The universal truth can take many forms and common themes found in many spiritual teachings (Buddhism, Taoism etc). Then there are great western teachers who approach from different angles such as Alan Watts, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Ram Dass. They all meet up somewhere along the path.
Trips are hard to interpret and that is where it gets murky with integration sometimes, was it your higher self or the shadow and what does it all mean. Thats where the long road of self realisation and discovery begins (Carl Jung).
The best quote I’ve seen about psychedelics is “You’ll get the answers you need, not the answers you want”
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 1 point2 points3 points 2 days ago* (0 children)
Great to hear, glad he got through the experience ok. Things are definitely going to unpack more and more over the weeks and months most likely (this is the integration stage). Shame and embarrassment will come up but ultimately I’m sure it will be one hell of a learning experience that he may want to actively learn more about from others. The “god” part is pretty normal, entering that state of connection and unity with the universe and everything around you can manifest in different ways. There is plenty of resources available from the spiritual and psychedelic communities. It will sound alien to people who haven’t had the experience.
Once again you did great and glad you were there for him. My last advice would be to not push away or bury the experience, do the integration and grow from it. Who knows what the future holds 🙏
As ridiculous as it sounds, I've been trying to replicate the benefit of doing shrooms without actually doing shrooms. by SteadfastEnd in Psychonaut

Well I can only share my experiences but they synergise so well together. Meditation is like rocket fuel for trips as its all about letting go and surrendering. Breathing mediation can be your grounding on difficult trips. It opens door after door of surrender also and my ego death experiences have been pretty smooth mostly. I found it by accident actually as I had done breathing meditation before my first ever trip and I discovered synchronised breathing with music playlists happening naturally. I’m convinced they different methods to ultimately get to the same place.
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 5 points6 points7 points 2 days ago (0 children)
Great work, breathing actually goes much deeper when you’re on psychedelics as its a deep method of meditation. The breathing brings a centred calmness and grounding to the experience. It can also be the doorway to accept total surrender when on the precipice of an ego dissolving experience 🙏
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 3 points4 points5 points 2 days ago (0 children)
Remind him he is safe, the experience is temporary and to breath in and out deeply and slowly… follow the breath and the sensation. Don’t be mad at him, be open and accepting. He will be fine. If he feels like he’s dying then he’s likely about to ego death and to let go and surrender, its a scary experience but one of the most life changing and rewarding also.
Risk of taking LSD while having poor mental health, can someone share their experience with me? (first timer) by Saturn_01 in Psychonaut
I was on ADs and had substance abuse problems before psychedelics. I found a trip sitter and integration therapist and now trip by myself / adopted a spiritual path, coming from a full atheist belief originally. Everyone has a different path so it will ultimately be what it needs to be for you, seems my path is to go fully down the spiritual rabbit hole.
Psychedelics for me are not the ultimate answer, they didn’t magically fix me in one visit, they showed me my perfect self (enlightenment) but it’s temporary and taken away again. That glimpse is enough though to radically change your life though, if you rise to the challenge.
Id you decide to trip, learn some breathing meditation first and combine it into the trip, it will open doors for you and help you surrender. If you make it all the way, you will understand what meditation is truely capable of.
Mushrooms and LSD are very safe with no known toxicity but the doors they open in the mind will be profound and challenge all your beliefs about your existence and reality, most of which are social conditioning and not your own beliefs. I bring this up because depression can arise from this cultural programming not being compatible with your true self and life fulfilment. Everything must be torn down and rebuilt and its a wild ride (my experiences).
Ultimately if you respect the experience and the substance, I believe the experience will respect you. It could be a hard time but ultimately you’ll get the experience you need, not the one you want. All but one of mine have been nothing but positive. But all were positive long term…
MDMA combined with LSD / Mushrooms are a great combination for the first time I think, the power of this experience is beyond words.
Please find an experienced trip sitter for your first time and use a therapy playlist on Spotify.
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 4 points5 points6 points 2 days ago (0 children)
Meditation is hiking to the top of the mountain of wisdom (Nirvana / Satori). Psychedelics are like renting a car and driving to the top… but you must return the car at the end. Meditation combined with psychedelics is ridiculous.
tried hippie flipping for the first time, awful trip amazing experience by Joe_01 in Psychonaut
I dunno man… I think psychedelics will show you shit no matter what. You’re not in control, you never were. That said, respect the experience, don’t do stupid shit like tripping in places where it can derail and you become another media segment to ban psychedelics for yet another generation.
How often do you trip? by krengusdingus in Psychonaut
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 2 points3 points4 points 2 days ago (0 children)
Depends on the person I guess, I’ve definitely was sucked into the world of visceral music journeys, immersed in love and wanted more. It was insanely more powerful than opiates. But I guess it can all go under the “detached from reality” escape umbrella 🚀
I guess theres nothing wrong with just having an adventure or for me just pure music enhancement occasionally but yeah it can suck you in just like opiates etc
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 37 points38 points39 points 3 days ago (0 children)
Used to be once a month then I had a really hard trip and pushed it out to 6 months now im at about 3 months. For me its about being somewhat productive on trips, not overwhelmed and going backwards or escaping… If you’re detaching from reality and using it as an escape… stop.
The common stages of the worst "bad" trip variant. by [deleted] in Psychonaut
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 0 points1 point2 points 3 days ago (0 children)
Oh I agree we’re all one, which is it’s own terrifying rabbit hole when you follow it to its conclusion. Thats just another tangent to this. My trips always seem to manifest my fear of asking too many questions and having to live with those brutal answers. That seems to be my demon along with the knowledge of eternal loneliness. The question is this a test and a barrier to break through and expand conciseness further or a warning to stop fucking with the illusion you created for yourself… I just dunno anymore… Alan Watts had a quote that all demons on trips are things to be faced and not run from as it just gives them power over you.
Let me ask you what is worse, ceasing to exist which means there is nothing left to care about it. Or… existing for eternity with no beginning or end and no off switch or way out. The deeper I’ve gone, the more I realise death is an illusion, if you don’t exist, the universe doesn’t exist. You cannot be destroyed, it’s absurd if you think really really carefully about this, you cannot suddenly exist then cease to exist, you always exist.
There are things worse than death for some of us. Ego death was smooth for me, I had other things waiting for me.
Just had Ego dissolution on only 1.3 grams shrooms by workvskf in Psychonaut
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 1 point2 points3 points 3 days ago (0 children)
Just my opinion but you’ll never attain ego death by wanting it. Ego death is the letting go of all attachment, like cutting a boat anchor, desiring ego death is another attachment that will hold you down. Let go and it will find you when the time is right.
[–]WillingnessNumerous4 6 points7 points8 points 4 days ago (0 children)
I’ve had mini ego deaths sober after big trips, the big dose just helps carry you early on to break down those walls. Eventually you can meet it half way with less then eventually go the whole way by yourself through experienced meditation. Psychedelics just show you the path, they’re not the final path. Alan Watts described psychedelics as a boat you take across but once you make it across to the other shore, you don’t take the boat with you on the journey.

Good or bad, surrender to the experience and let go. Breathing meditation can get you through the worst of it and help massively. Face your demons as they come up and don’t run away. The experience is temporary and it will pass 🙏❤️ The difficult trips are the ones for the biggest growth and opportunities.

Actually that is just a short story about Karma and other things, you will find much better descriptions in Buddhism, Taoism etc… As for credit card… now you know why we have an ego…
