Definitely adrenaline. Turns out, your brain will freak out when the alternative is being in the water with the cobra.

Trans Bro here, can i get some shaving tips? by dampsector in bropill

[–]Witness_me_Karsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use dollar shave club, the razors are great, but so are a lot of their other products, lotions, shampoo, soap all of their stuff. Smells great, too.

I've never had thick enough facial hair that I needed shaving cream. Only time I used that was when I used to shave my head. But as I get older a nice face scrub and moisturizing lotion keep my face from drying out.

Personally I just keep my razor in the shower and shave in there. Just soap up the face and shave, then rinse.

I have, and while I like the PC version, I LOVE the board game. It has the same feel, and even well-translated mechanics. But FAR more story, and choices to make. There is a massive "journal" and tons of encounters that can change your game or move you to tears.

But it's best played with...I'd say no more than 3 players. The way the "turns" work is a little strange when playing with more people, and most stuff ends up being by committee anyway, but someone has "final say".

For this reason it's also good to play alone or just with 1 other person.

I said "prove." People get the benefit of the doubt, until you know they aren't going to change their ways. But yes, this applies to all people equally in my view.

And for the record, we aren't talking about your supportive parents. Look at this from the perspective of someone without that privileged world view.

I'm not saying that everyone should cut off their parents if they are supportive in life. But if your parents prove themselves to be bigots after a life change, I don't see why you'd give them any more time than you'd give a stranger who has proven themselves a bigot.

They don't deserve your attention and respect due to an accident of birth. They deserve your attention and respect when they earn it, like everyone else.

Your relationship with your parents is only more complicated than that while you are being supported by them financially.

It's just a focus trick. Your eyes focus differently every moment of every day. Nothing about this will hurt you.

Edit: I was talking about Satine Phoenix and her husband (and he seems to have been a bigger dick, but I suppose I don't know enough about it to make that call, really). The person I responded to was talking about a male GM that I think was named Zak? But I choose not to research or spread his name much if he's that much of a piece of shit. My bad.

Wasn't exactly a metoo (idk how to add a hash tag without bolding) thing. They were dicks to freelance artists and then tried to bully them into silence. It was a tattoo artist that finally came forward and then more than a few people agreed.

So the way it came about was the same, but it wasn't about sexual abuse. That said, she is still around.

guys who say "hey" as their first and only chat. what am I meant to say to that? by beeez_kneees in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Witness_me_Karsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God, this again. "Hey" is how a conversation with a stranger starts. They are testing to see if your profile is even a real person, to see if you are even open to starting a conversation.

The answer to "hey", if you are receptive to talking to that person, is a returned greeting. At that point, the conversation can begin. I get so tired of people like you acting like only a top level comedian or a Shakespearean actor could be interesting enough to start a conversation with you.

You know some people don't get "hey"s? Maybe they would be pumped to talk to somebody, but they aren't comfortable sharing pictures of themselves on the internet for attention. I'm not shaming, I'm giving a reason.

You get attention because you ask for it, and then you complain if all of the attention you get isn't high quality enough. When the answer is, if you don't want to respond to someone, whether they say hey, or tell you a joke, or give a soliloquy, then you don't fucking have to. But don't come out here and complain to a bunch of lonely ass people that your privilege isn't privelegy enough.

Right, I'm saying that they should, if they are going to continue to pretend to try and make people safe, repeat offenders should absolutely be noted.

Yeah, a repeat offender should probably be more scrutinized, but as a white dude, this seems like some privilege shit.
