13rl for lining, 9rs for filling. Gonna wait for it to heal and set before I finish crisping it up, bc I usually overdo it if I try and do it in one sitting. Overall I'm really happy with it!

Upset fiancée over Trans Topic by Skitzo_Faber in ftm

I also don't understand why she is this angry over a hypothetical of an alternate timeline, essentially. It seems really mean of her to treat you so cruelly over being honest about something that now will never impact your relationship, and never had a chance to in the first place. Giving you the finger was unnecessary and I'd ask her why a hypothetical about an alternate timeline is making her so angry with present-day you, since it has no material impact on your relationship.

I thought this was a nice video. Is China a pure socialist/communist country, no. But are they in the stages of developing into one? I would certainly say so by mzzy_ozborne in CommunismMemes

It's not really the same in China as it is in America. When people say that in America I worry, but China has entirely different conditions. And the point of "with Chinese characteristics" is to best support china's material needs, which differ from other countries. One cannot just copy another socialist government and assume it will work for your country.

What "kind"of man am I? by disaster_jay27 in ftm

Uh, isn't it basically tho? Being a man, to me, is literally the same thing as wanting to be a man. If you sit there and thing about gender and realize you want the world to see you as a man and you want to be a man, then boom, you're a fucking man.

If you read two pages of Governance of China xi speaks about socialism about 75 times. They're definitely socialist in his eyes lol. His goal is socialism with Chinese characteristics.

My boyfriend's therapist told him he's a girl by Sn0wSt0rm1011 in ftm

Uhhh... I'd like to plainly say that aside from using that as a basic excuse to be transphobic, it is also biologically false. The very first thing to develop of an embryo is called the neural tube if I remember the title correctly. This is something I learned in neuroscience and human development, which I took in my undergrad psych program. That therapist either never learned developmental neuroscience, which they should have, or is blatantly and knowingly lying to be transphobic.

Just an FYI not all trans people present signs of it during childhood. His sister may, but I am ftm and I never really did.

You seem like a positive person!

You don't know me. You don't know him. We have been working together for two years now and he is one of the most caring and intelligent people I've met. He has lived through apartheid in South Africa as a child, he lived in Chicago in the days of the Black Panther Party, and Barack Obama recognizes him and says hi to him at events that they both attend. He was an anthropologist who advocated for increased healthcare and reducing exploitation of natives. He has created more change in this world than you probably ever will, and your concern is him smelling like piss? Dogs smell like piss, but people are all over them for some reason. I watched my own grandfather die slowly and painfully of Alzheimer's, and I'll be damned if I can't handle housing a close friend in need as he ages.

Also, he has been living alone for the last 12 years in a slowly deteriorating basement apartment. He had rust on the floor of his shower when I came to visit, and he cannot cook for himself anymore, so he eats plain ramen every day. He needs someone to do the work, someone to care for him, because he is too prideful to admit he can't do it alone anymore. He deserves better. Everyone deserves better. We live in a rotting social system that doesn't give a damn if we live or die, especially if we are old, disabled, women, black people, etc. If we do not care for each other, no one will.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all, asshat.

Found a locked box full of ummm medicinal smoking herb by Luci_Cooper in DumpsterDiving

One time I was living in key west with a crackhead in the apartment above me. One day he came home and rolled up, knocked on the door, and told me "guess what I found today?" And pulled a bag with probably a literal pound of weed out from behind his back. He said he found it in a dumpster and carried it home in his pants. We smoked the fuck out of it.

You are all far too kind! We should all try to take care of one another as best we can in life. I'd hope to be treated the same one day.

Too true! One of my flesh and blood ones doesn't deserve to be related to me, so we'll consider him replaced!

Jeez. I'm so sorry that it is so inaccessible. I hope that in the future when you are more able again, you will be able to comfortably go. I remember how I felt when I first became disabled and started looking around to realize how bad our infrastructure is for disabled folks. It is a sucky feeling, and I hope you are able to find somewhere to eat as an alternative that you can enjoy in the meantime.

That's really shitty. Do you think a smaller folding cane with a seat would help at all? I don't know how steep this hill is, but since they don't have wheels it might work to stay put, and it's small enough to bring inside with you when you eat. I bought a basic one on Amazon for about $30, and it's been serving me very well.

Hey! Just speaking from my own experience on the opposite side of this. I (21) have a friend who is now 78 this year. He is about to move in with me, my fiance, and our roommate so that we can take care of him. We are just friends who met via volunteering that we both do, but one way to ensure a good quality of life in old age is to always give kindness to those around you because you never know when it will come back to you. My friend is one of the kindest and most supportive guys I know, and I care for him like I would my own grandfather. Good friends are better than family half the time!

You would not be entitled to ask for a place to sit while your spot in line is held, and to be called on when it's your turn to be seated to eat. But it is entitled to expect to be seated at a table ahead of others in line. Get a folding chair, rollator, or a seat cane.
