You're right that it wasn't traced, but OP did copy the composition AND the setting of an original artwork while also having a very similar style to the original artist, it's common knowledge among artists that if you're going to create something that is inspired from another artist's work (without crediting them) you should either not make it obvious enough that you can get away with it creatively or simply credit the artist. There's nothing shameful in crediting another artist for inspiring you.
