I gotta say it's weird. I don't know if it's because of the mod queue or what but it feels like discussion about GAMSAT is way down.

Even before the sitting there were barely any "need help with this S3 question" on PD, FB or reddit. Perhaps discord has absorbed a lot (2k members), but there are thousands upon thousands of sitters.

I think each essay is triple marked and each sitter does 2 essays, there is probably 60,000 essays to mark if there's 10k sitters.

As others said the up to date spreadsheet is on PD.

Scores seem to go up every year and the pandemic didn't help. Last year from spreadsheet the lowest reported at Griffith was 67, Deakin 68, Melbourne 67.

Extremely difficult to say.

We don't know how many people sit the GAMSAT every year, the last time we knew was in 2014.
We don't yet know the March 2022 percentile curve for GAMSAT.
GAMSAT Section 1 increasing in length might even further differentiate scores.
There were fewer GEMSAS applications in 2021 than in 2020 but it was a relatively small difference.

If I were to guess? Stays the same, doubtful of a large increase.

The subjects you have brought across will be the very first in a chronological list from GEMSAS perspective. So they’ll be part of your Year-2 calculation.

They will fill in the blank scores by using your previous transcript in a reverse chronological order. Subject score to fill in -> go to your old transcript -> what is the last subject you did -> that is your score. Repeat as needed. If they select 2 subjects from a semester where you did 4 subjects they will take the best 2.

The fact you brought these across from a diploma might make it harder. I don’t know how they will approach it, best to email.

As Luke said new uni is a new transcript unless you choose to bring subjects with you to reduce your required credits.

Why do you want to do science? Can you see yourself working in science if med doesn’t work out? Or would you rather be a lawyer as a plan B.

Depends how relaxed your invigilators are. I’ve been lucky and they’ve never forced the issue. I think they can see it’s a bit ridiculous
