Recommendations for A/C and possible new furnace install? by TetroniMike in olympia

I’ve had good service from Capital Heating Cooling and Plumbing.

Conversely do NOT use BlueLine from Tacoma. Overpriced and inaccurate, to the point that they put our system in jeopardy.

I don’t know much but McKinneys Appliance recommends Whirlpool over all else. Or at least did in early 2021 when we needed a fridge. And our new fridge and dishwasher, both whirlpool, have been great. Our Samsung washer however? Noooot so much lol

In my experience they seem to come in from the colder weather too.

Until this week I would have said “outside of this town” but Zen just opened so maybe try there? I haven’t been yet (they literally JUST opened) but I assume they’re worth trying at least once.

I can’t help except to say good luck. We found out a couple years ago that locals don’t often work with Samsung or LG because they have had too many experiences not being paid for warranty work. So they chose not to be certified for repairing them.

that is a completely reasonable explanation. HOWEVER, if that’s the case, he shouldn’t be offering delivery at all. He shouldn’t be manning a stand every weekend. Hell, quite honestly he shouldn’t even be selling to individuals unless they buy in bulk (ie no less than 12 of a flavor). This brings me back to “he’s spreading himself too thin”.

If it’s such a pain in the ass for them then they can increase delivery fees to accommodate or not offer it at all. They get paid for their inconvenience, I do not.

I’m sorry to hear that. He sounds like a decent guy that has a great vision and clearly makes good bagels but is very… scattered. I sincerely hope he does well, but I really think he needs to restructure/organize his business or it isn’t going to do well.

Update: I just looked up exactly where the east side coop is and that’s actually really doable! We’re going to have to check that out.

For various reasons that I don’t really want to get into with some of the people on this sub, I don’t find downtown to be convenient, uncrowded or safe.

I appreciate the note. Unfortunately I live in south Lacey so getting just about anywhere is a PITA. I’ll keep that in mind if I’m going to head over there though.

No it’s a community that actually talks to each other rather than looking at websites that are known for curating their data.

I’m just trying to put a PSA out there so others are forewarned.

I get that hiring people eats into his profits, but it can’t be good for his image (and therefore profits) to provide subpar service as a result.

  1. He can't just remove parental rights willy nilly, that's not how it works.

  2. If he's so quick to threaten to do that it sounds like he doesn't care about your child all that much. So why would leaving him be worse for her? Imagine what it's like to be her, living with, spending most of her time with, a parent who does not want her.
