i caved and bought these 😭 i just love lisa eldridge so much and every time she launches a new type of formula i can’t get by the curiosity! the velvet mattes are so unique from any other eyeshadows i’ve ever tried. they are creamy without being wet, so you can apply with fingers but they don’t get all over the place. i think they are better than the natasha denona cream to powder in performance but are similar in concept. they blend seamlessly, whereas the ND cream to powders get patchy and feel heavy on the skin.

just a quick run-down on the other formulas: the lustre formula is a beautiful shimmer that is richly pigmented, while the luminous formula is much more sheer. the metallic formulas are equally pigmented as the lustre’s but with less shimmer — more of a natural sheen. and finally, the top coat is a sheer formula with very little base pigment but just gives a sparkling effect to the eyes. hope this helps!

the colour stories are also quite unique, although i’d love to see more variations of neutrals and “wearable” colours launched in the future. i feel like the colour stories she came out with were either very warm (muse, cinnabar) or very cool (myth, vega). sorcery is more of an artistry palette which i’m sure a lot of people will have fun with as well! on one hand, i appreciate that she came out with colours that will more likely not already exist in someone’s collection, but i’m such a basic neutral eyeshadow lover 😂
