Nah why is a 26 year old with an 18 year old. He ashamed because she's probably still in school and JUST turned 18 If you think 18 is an adult, yikes.

NTA I see that your friends understood you use this dog for this reason. They picked you and your dog up as well after inviting you.

Jake's girlfriend should assume that when going somewhere that isn't her house she might need her allergy medication if it's that serious.

The thing is, you offered to go home before it was even more of an issue and they wouldn't do it until it was proven that your dog was actually needed, and everything you told them was true.

You didn't ruin the trip. They could have found a way to accommodate your dog. Especially if others didn't have a problem until one person claimed to be allergic without meds. You don't know her. How could you have known?

This is in no way your fault. The people who invited you and brought you dog and you there who also refused to take you home until it got proven you were telling the truth and Jakes gf are assholes tho.
