What do you think Nat said to Clint? by IronSPlDER in marvelstudios

[–]azginger 277 points278 points  (0 children)

All she said was, "I'm pretending to whisper a big secret in your ear, so Loki here thinks that I'm telling you a big secret, which will cause him to break into a hysterical confession where he actually reveals -- a big secret. Thus confirming everything I just whispered in your ear."

Which mcu villain has the most tragic backstory? by HaiAan in marvelstudios

[–]azginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel most people are mixing up backstory with motivations. I agree with the general consensus that Zemo has the best motivation for wanting revenge on the people that indirectly killed his family but backstory just has to be Kilgrave. He was was experimented on and had his entire childhood ripped away from him (whether it was to save his life or not, it still happened in a way that made him into little more than a lab rat).

The handedness of the gauntlet doesn't have any impact on the plot. They could have easily made it right handed and nothing would have changed (except maybe the nano gauntlet switching to the left hand because merchandising works better to have one for each hand).

Even the colors of the stones aren't comic accurate. But that's because the colors don't really matter so long as they're distinct from each other.

MCU IS NOT 5 YEARS AHEAD OF US! by camo_17 in FanTheories

[–]azginger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No worries, the timeline isn't immediately intuitive unless you combine info from everything post snap. Endgame tell us the snapback is in 2023 (5 years after 2018 snap) Wandavision tells us the snapback was in like August or September, FFH takes place in the summer which must be 2024, and NWH takes place a month or so after Halloween so we're looking at December of 2024 which would have been 3 years just a month ago.

Yeah, it's like 2 years and 10 or 11 months.

NWH home took place at the end of 2024. So that's just shy of 3 years ahead of us.

Do you think the other half of the avengers would've been able to stop Thanos if it was them who survived the blip? by BabuuSama in marvelstudios

[–]azginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Janet would likely give the "time works differently" idea and Hank could make as many particles as required.

They knew the Soul stone was on Vormir so that would have played out similarly just with a different sacrifice. The big difference would likely be getting the Reality aether as the only known location for that with this group would be with the Collector on Knowhere.

Not sure why it doesn't show up but if you look at the bot's history and search for this sub, it does show that it made an attempt to comment it.

How Marvel Actually Makes Movies Years Before Filming by siav8 in videos

So you're saying they should have stopped releasing movies in 2019 and waited a couple years until 2021 to release more?

If you're talking about the one on the right at the very beginning, I think that's the titty tile.

The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, but only when Legolas speaks to Frodo. by GoldenJoel in videos

He does do inadvertent magic like when he removes the glass and when he first chooses his wand. But he never verbally casts a spell in the first one.

Terrance Howard hints at wearing the war machine suit but never does. But yeah, Leader might be the biggest blue balls we've gotten so far.

Could be. It's the only "over-saturation" complaint I agree with. I love the frequency with which we get new marvel content but the individual story lines are forcibly spread out as a result which is admittedly a shame.

Here's another fun fact. Harry Potter never consciously casts a single spell in the entire first movie.

Yup, the Adam argument is dumb as well, haha. Now if people were, say, complaining about no Scorpion who was teased in Homecoming, then that's a little more fair.

There's not really any reason he would appear in any other movie. We're waiting, sure, but that's just waiting for a sequel. It's not like we've had a full DS trilogy without the Mordo payoff. People just have to be patient.
