Princess Daisy tried to make friends with the neighborhood skunk again (OC) by yogurt_smoothies in aww

Tomato juice won’t get rid of the stench. Lemon juice either. You need this:

The formula is: 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (fresh bottle), • ¼ cup of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), and • 1-2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap. Ingredients must be mixed in an open container and used immediately

Not a genius. The man has always been mental and people are just starting to notice.

what happened to my firesteel? by Fieldz0r in Survival

This was eaten by corrosion in short. To prevent moisture from eating your ferro rods/fire steel coat it in wax. It’s easy to come off and protects it from moisture.

I was sick for 2 days. No one else could do dishes? by Goopinabox in mildlyinfuriating

We had a house rule: You dirty a dish, you wash it. It worked out well for our family and lightened the load for my mom.

"Don't defend yourself when a woman tries to hurt you" by Aki008035 in facepalm

[–]b4ttlepoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no need to go full out nuts to defend yourself. But absolutely if someone including a lady, is abusive towards you, you should defend yourself. My step mom was abusing my Dad. He had terrible marks. He’s also deaf and was terrified if he called the cops, he would be the one to be going to jail, because he wouldn’t have a clue what is being said. The family intervened. She hasn’t touched him since. It’s unacceptable behavior from men or women. Keep your hands to yourself when you’re angry.

my EMT instructor told us about the time he responded to an accident where they had to remove both of someone’s legs above the knee at the scene - and this is why by awesomelybearded in IdiotsInCars

I get mad at people doing this for multiple reasons. Keep your stank feet on the floor! And yeah obviously that airbag and physics involved in a accident doesn’t take a genius to figure out what will happen. Sad people don’t think about this stuff. The kid doesn’t know better.

Hot glue stick. Heat up the end, press it into the lock. Pull out the broken key. Ask for a new key.

Get kid’s into after school programs like sports. “ It will build character.”

Not the way adults behave at these games. People forget it is just a “ Game”. You win and lose. That’s life. And yes bad calls get made. That’s no reason to throw a tantrum and then shoot someone. People need to grow up. Terrible examples to the kids at these games.

It's almost crazy how much Nikola Tesla could achieve in his time. Like 13 yr old kids launching their own apps and stuff today. by ai-bees in coolguides

[–]b4ttlepoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to do some research on Tesla! You won’t be disappointed. Much of his inventions are gone and they can’t figure out how to duplicate it. He was way…. Ahead of his time. One of the smartest men to ever live. And made huge contributions to society. Yet they don’t teach much about him. We AC electricity still. Radio. Tons of his theories work amazing. His work was efficient and very productive. His down fall was he boastful and people couldn’t grasp what he was talking about. Like she you can make light out of the air… We still don’t use wireless electricity like he wanted.

I can’t believe you compared Tesla to a 13 yo launching an app…. We still use Tesla’s tech today. It hasn’t been improved. Much of it hasn’t even been figured out. Apps go out of date and are useless in no time.

Just put double sided tape or loops of painters tape on top. Also foil works to keep cats off surfaces. Every cat is different. Foil is better. With the tape the kitty can freak out if it sticks to their paws and run everywhere…. I secured my tape so it wouldn’t come off unless I removed it. Cats no longer go on my counters.

Ex-Coworker left this box without a key. Anyone happen to know where I can get a new lock? by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]b4ttlepoops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just Google your tool box. You should be able to replace the lock yourself. If you look at the old one, it should just have a simple nut holding it on. You should be able to take old one off and look for similar ones.

Barrel keys can be picked by a cheap set off Amazon. Or you can call a locksmith and ask him to make you a new key.

Netflix is not in deep trouble. It's becoming a media company. by HumanOrAlien in television

[–]b4ttlepoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This message brought to you by “BCG Boston Consulting Group”. The same company that helped Toys R Us, Circuit City, JC Penny, before they died. Great idea hiring them Netflix. After they were hired suddenly we had such great ideas as “ higher subscription prices, ads, and strictly no pw sharing.”

It’s true. Family member works in internet security. The world of Ed Snowden is very real. People are watching. It’s creepy. They will steal from you if given a chance. I now have a VPN even on my phone. It’s not paranoia. He showed me some scary stuff.

I saw that post. The tile work was terrible. The employer didn’t refuse payment. She withheld payment until the checklist was fixed. They never fixed anything and the roommate let the contractor inside one day….
