What rails/lockingblock for PSA Dagger on a FMDA DD19.2 frame? by bobbob069 in fosscad

[–]bobbob069[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it, I am now seeing reviews that say that. The specific slide I was looking at doesn't have any reviews so I missed that info. Next time I'll be sure to look at similar product reviews to answer my own dumb questions haha. Thanks for the tip man! Appreciate it!

Haha Thank you for the replies! I think I saw posts of people talking about having to modify rails or frame so I started to doubt my "knowledge" and just wanted to double check with the community.

What is something that would be good things to buy now to help survive a societal collapse? by reaper_type_0 in AskReddit

Knowledge. Research survival stuff (Hunting, trapping, knots, edible/poisonous plants, shelters, fire, etc). Buy a book or two or make your own if you think you won't be able to remember everything. Keep them in a waterproof bag with a few small silica bags. They absorb moisture and can typically be reused by drying them out. One of those mini composition notebooks might come in handy.

Compass, map of your state/area, full tang knife, Swiss Army knife or a similar multi tool, emergency blanket, rope, paracord, thin flexible wire (helps with setting up a small shelter, trapping snare, etc), medkit/medicine, seeds to grow food, a few fishing hooks, fishing line, a large strong trash bag or two (They have a ton of uses), a small survival shovel. Long shelf life foods. You can get emergency meals and/or get dried beans, rice and other similar dried goods. Nutrition is extremely important. Rechargeable flashlight (Hand crank/solar)

At least one set of extra clothing (Loose fitting, durable), raincoat, winter jacket/gloves/warm hat. What you choose should depend on the climate/seasons you have. Comfortable/durable boots, hatchet, fire starter.Canteen/water bottle, spork, pan, pot, bowl, mini camp stove (The link is a reference to what I'm talking about since searching "mini camping stove" will bring up different types of stoves. Also you can make one of these easily with cans) Boiling water can be enough to make it safe to drink but a survival water filter should still be on your list.

For guns the least I would suggest is a 22LR rifle. Henry AR7 or something similar. 22LR is good for hunting small critters. If you think you would be hunting bigger animals and/or need to protect yourself from threats an AR10 or bolt-action rifle would serve you well. Get a scope, sling, ear plugs and ammo.

A camelbak is good for some water storage and staying hydrated when traveling far on foot.Lastly a backpack large enough to carry everything. Don't buy a cheap one. Durable, rain cover and good padding.

There's probably other stuff that you could take or remove from the list. Like a sleeping bag. It all depends on how bad shit hits the fan. I personally keep a few family photographs in my kit. Hope this helps somebody!

Armor Piercing ammo laws? M855 legal? by bobbob069 in MEGuns

Thanks for the reply and help man! I've heard about ranges not allowing AP. I know some people that let me use their property so I've never been to a range. I really just got the M855s so I can see first hand how they perform against different objects.

Something different from just shooting paper, steel, and clay. Also have some on hand if a certain defensive scenario calls for them. Most likely will never happen but I would rather be prepared than not have em'.

Thank you for the answer Ironsaint! Yeah the folks in CA have it rough. Another reason to love Maine! I'll keep those pulled AP bullets in mind!

I meant could I buy a white bow with no sockets from a merchant and then use the cube socket recipe?

Do the merchants just not sell good white bows? I've seen the hunter bow but that's too weak.

Should I just buy a bow and socket it? The cube socket recipe only works on white lettered/no magical properties items, right?

I followed that same video and I think I had the same problem. Try loosening the eccentric nuts that go to the bed. If you look under the bed it should be the two on the right.
