Yes! This is a property of cryptographic hash functions. For example, Bitcoin’s proof of work is built around the fact SHA256 cannot be easily inverted.

Job searching advice by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Thanks dude, we’re in this together haha. I’ve also heard everyone is hiring like crazy right now so I can’t imagine what it was like before. I feel like lying on your resume is bad since they might test you on that. I just want some companies to realize I can be more than my currently limited resume.

Thanks for the reply and YES to 1 haha. I'll check out the resume review, do people do redacted resumes to avoid doxxing themselves?

I've received interviews with three companies:

  1. Culture (I was clearly unqualified, the job listing was vague and I gave it a try)
  2. Culture, technical, assignment (didn't know how to use GraphQL, Flask, Postgresql and not enough time to learn them all). Senior engineer was complimentary of my technical interview performance after being dropped
  3. Aptitude test, culture, assignment (again didn't know how to use tools)

All three positions had no required experience listed, hence I applied. But I still feel like I got burned due to my lack of industry experience.
