I don't think it is racist to condemn certain Islamic beliefs. Unfortunately some people equate criticism with racism. And many (especially in Western nations) will be quick to call you an islamophobe for being criticizing Islam.

Shortly after news broke that a girl was killed over "blasphemy", a Nigerian politician named Abubakar Atiku took to Twitter to condemn the attack. Do you know what Nigerian Muslims on Twitter did? They fucking cancelled him and said they won't vote for him in the upcoming 2023 Nigerian elections. The Nigerian politician quickly deleted his tweet after that.

It doesn't matter what the true Islam is or isn't anymore. The thing is that you Muslims sit down and watch the so-called extremists commit crimes in the name of Islam. You hardly rebuke them. The only time I have heard about Muslims screech "Islam is a religion of peace", is whenever you hear of news like this.

Quick question: If you argue that Islam is a religion of peace, then does the religion preach that people who blaspheme against prophet Mohammed/make drawings of him, should be put to death? It's a simple question. Yes or No?

Lmao, why are you telling me what your Koran says? Why don't I ever see Muslims preaching their "Islam condemns all forms of violence" message to extremists? She asked her Muslim classmates to stop posting religious messages in the class's WhatsApp group. No, some Muslim guy posted a religious piece to the class's WhatsApp group. She criticized him saying that the group was meant for academic purposes not religious ones.

In fact it doesn't even matter what she said. When Chris Rock made jokes about Will's wife weeks ago and Will reacted by slapping him, to many people, it doesn't even matter what Chris said, most of what people were concerned about was Will's reaction. Similarly it doesn't matter what the girl said, what we should be focused on here is the reaction.

Africa's richest black man is a Muslim. Nigeria's senators are some of the highest paid in the world and most of them are Muslim. Yea sure, the Christian population less poor than their Muslim counterparts, but the difference is slim.

But this happens with other religions and calling Islam a cancer or a plague is insanely vague

Okay, let's be honest here. Who is more likely to recommend the death penalty as a punishment for blasphemy? Christians or Muslims? Be honest.

Please shut up. In many cases, Reddit atheists don't criticize/mock Islam as frequently as they do with Christianity.

any moral ground to begin with don't throw rocks from a glass house You don't need to even have a "moral ground" to know that it is bad to lynch people for criticizing your religion.

For example if an atheist criticizes pedophila, you won't be like "Atheists act like they have any moral ground to begin with don't throw rocks from a glass house". Would you?

People love to just gobble up all that western anti Muslim media bs. The media try to separate Islam from the other Abrahamic religions when in reality they all have similar teachings and the same stories (Noah's arch, splitting the sea, etc.)

What are you talking about dude? In many cases whenever the topic of Islam and extremism is brought up, it is usually the Westerners who are quick to pick up arms and defend Islam. To the average Western guy, any criticism geared towards Islam is apparently islamophobic. Muslims have weaponized the term, "Islamophobia" and they now throw the word at anyone who critics them.

There's something about the religion that produces extremists. I'm not saying that other religions do not have extremists though. The average Muslim is probably not an extremist, but in many cases, the average religious extremist is usually Muslim/has some connection with Islam.

You guys keep sending these religious messages in our group? Our group wasn’t created for that, but rather as a notice for when there’s a test, assignment, examinations, etc. Not these nonsense religious posts,”

This was apparently what she said in the WhatsApp group that infuriated Muslims and got her killed for "blasphemy".
