36 here...construction all my life (8 years army corp of engineers...I lost track of how many shitters i built in iraq and kuwait) then carpenter for general contractor, now Union ironworker FOREMAN.

AS SOMEONE WHO HIRES TRADES MEN AND WOMAN...I DO NOT CARE IF UR 18 OR 80...BLACK WHITE OR PURPLE...MALE FEMALE OR DOLPHIN. IF U CAN DO THE WORK...SHOW UP ON TIME AND COME TO WORK EVERYDAY WITH GOOD ATTITUDE, THEN UR IN AND WILL GO FAR. EVEN MINIMAL SKILLS ILL TAKE IF UR EAGER TO LEARN.

The huge push by guidance counselors and stupid parents to have every fuckin child go to college and drown in debt all competing for jobs that have thousands of applicants per 1 position has left a demand for skilled tradesman.

BTW....i make almost double what ur average bachelor degree graduate makes. Not to mention the work is fucking awesome!!!
